Yes, I have a favorite sponge. Sometimes, when I go to other people's houses and help out with the dishes, I actually think, "THIS is the sponge they choose to use!?" I like that this sponge is sturdy, not flimsy. The yellow side is gentle enough for my everyday plates and glasses, while the green scrubbing side effectively cleans most everything that gets caked onto my pots and pans. (For the occasional burnt-on mess that this sponge can not clean, I resort to S.O.S. Steel Wool Soap Pads - as long as they are safe for the item being cleaned.) When this sponge was first out of stock at my local grocery store, I didn't give it much thought. But, repeated shopping excursions proved that this item was not just out of stock - it was no longer being sold in the store at all! They did carry the non-heavy duty version by S.O.S. - a light blue sponge with a darker blue scrubbing side - but it really didn't match up. The darker blue scrubbing side literally fell apart after just a few uses. Happily, I found these sponges here on Amazon. Buying a whole box of 24 sponges seemed like a bit much, but then I figured, what the heck. They're non-perishable, and I know I love them.

These S.O.S. sponges have been around for years. I use them in my kitchen and bathrooms (separate sponges of course)! The yellow side it great for regular cleaning duties and items that are easily scratched. The green side is great for scrubbing stubborn dirt, stuck on food, etc. This is for 24 sponges (8 packages of 3) and should last you for some time. This is the second time we ordered these. The first time they were fine. The second time the sponges were not glued properly and separated before you even used them.

I got tired of overpaying for these at the grocery store. The case is a good deal, and these sponges hold up pretty well.

If you have to clean the shower or tub and you have hard water stains, these sponges do a pretty good job of removing them with a little scrubbing. I found they did not scratch the stainless steel in the shower or tub. (please test a small area if you try this.) They are super heavy duty too and withstand a lot for more than one use. I'm not a fan of using sponges in the kitchen, but I love using them for the shower and tub. With scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner and these sponges I can really get my bathrooms clean.
