Everest easyJACK - 90° Angled Keystone Termination Tool | Only for Everest 90 Degree Keystone Jacks (B087N7QQD2)

This termination tool is a must for building keystone jacks. It took very minimal adjustments to fit the Everest keystones and once it was adjusted it worked like a champ. Simply start your wires in the correct slot, slide the keystone into the tool and clamp down. Wires are pushed into the terminal and the extra wire is sheered off making a solid and good looking piece. They say it won’t work with other brands of keystone but I think there is a possibility of matching others although I can’t say for sure. Price makes it a great value for the money.

Great

I mean this tool is kind of a waste using a specific brand of keystone. . . But it works, is very fast, reliable and easy. I imagine if you were using this tool for regular installs of dozens or hundreds of keystones it would add up spending 1.5x more on connectors vs builder grade ones. But for a home install you will not even notice. Even if you are doing hundreds. . . your time and the low failure rate because it is so easy will still probably make it worth it. As a home user. . . I didn't need this tool. Let's be honest it will be yet another specialty tool in my garage that will collect dust for 10 years until a family member or friend needs help with a project, and I will pull out just the right tool for the job and save the day. You know. . . every white-middle-class New Balance with white socks 40+ year old man's hero fantasy. Right up there with cleaning the storm drains during a thunderstorm in your 20-year-old broken in gym shorts and getting a nod from all the neighbors, while your neighbor down the street was held up by his wife and can only look on forlorn that he missed his shot.

Seems like a nice tool and may take a bit more practice to have quality terminations but I did two cable ends and had to manually do them both again. Didn't really save time and wasn't as effective as I'd hoped. The tool quality is good and maybe with some practice I could trust it but for home use and a few terminations that once I make I'll probably never touch again the old-school punch down tool proved to be a better fit for me. The cost isn't bad but I'm not sure I'll be using it much after the initial attempt failing. (Basically not all 8 wires were well seated and on a 2.5gbps connection I was getting 4 wires worth of 100mbps)

Tool matches keystone and works perfectly. Easy-to-use with the keysone fitting easily with wires into tool and crimper nicely. The wire is held extremely well in keystone and is not removed easily- which is great for use in racks where items have to be moved and placed during configuration and installation.

First off I love this tool. Fast and efficient use of your time when terminating tons of keystone jacks for network installations. As others have pointed out it only works with 90 degree keystone jacks by the same manufacturer but they are good quality and about the same price as others. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the quality since it broke after 10 months and having only used on three job sites. I would estimate I terminated less than 150 jacks before it fell apart in my hands: one of the main pins broke in half so not easily fixed. I rely on this product and quickly ordered 2 new units cause I have a big job coming up. Now I have the luxury of a backup if it one fails. I would recommend with the caveat that build quality may not be the best.

I really appreciate the simplicity of use. Purchased the system to do a 90 drop project along with the connectors. Had zero connector failures, and only had to re-punch one connector. After the project wrapped up, I ordered a second crimper to keep in my truck.

Game changer , when it comes to terminating jacks

First off—yes, this works perfectly with VCE RJ45 CAT6 Keystone Jacks, even though the packaging only mentions Everest Media. Don’t worry—it’s fully compatible. This was my first time terminating keystone jacks, and I wanted something that would help me work efficiently and confidently. I was running 10 new network lines in my basement, relocating everything because I was installing a new network rack and space was too tight at the original location near the hot water tank. The keystone jack kit I bought came with a basic punch-down tool, but I didn’t fully trust it for clean, reliable terminations. That’s where the Everest easyJACK came in—and let me tell you, it’s a game changer. At around $50, this tool is great for both beginners and more experienced users. You just follow the color code, drop in the wires, and crimp. I was using 24AWG Cat6 cable, and while I had a couple of misses (probably because I didn’t press the wires all the way in), the tool overall made the process fast and frustration-free. It’s comfortable to use, feels well-built, and saved me a ton of time. Even if it costs a bit more than a cheap punch-down tool, this one feels like a buy-it-once, use-it-for-life kind of tool. Highly recommend it for anyone doing home networking projects.

Very please with buying this. One handed use, great for working on ladders and saves A LOT OF TIME. If you've ever done wiring / termination / network keystone jacks, you'll understand punching down is no longer the way to go. Go for it - get this, and get the job done FAST. One press and you're cut and terminated properly with speed!!!

Work advertised. -1 star for the adjustment nuts that are tricky to turn because of lack of space. Had to pry with a screwdriver to turn them.

When I think of the hundreds of keystones I've punched down, one wire at a time, this makes me shake my head. This tool is fantastic, it works perfectly. The ONLY downside to this is that it requires their own "easyJACK" jacks. As long as those continue to be available then I suppose that's okay. Unlike tools from other manufacturers, this one doesn't require you to clean up your wire ends before slapping the keystone in and clamping down for a nice clean punch and trim. Very easy to use, very hard to make anything wrong.
