Kitchen Sink Flange for INSINKERATOR Garbage Disposal, FLG-SS, Stainless Steel

Simple installation in the drain. Good Functionality as needed!

The product is an origina Insinkerator product, but the color was to much of a yellow brushed bronze and didn't look right with our gold fixtures so we sent it back. We replaced it with the gold and it matches our gold accents. Looks great with a black sink. Heavy duty and easy to install once you get the disposal out!

If you are trying to install an Insinkerator disposal unit (or even another brand) and have a Farmhouse sink you’ll need this Deep Sink Flange. The standard flange is 1-1/2 inches deep and it does not leave enough room for the thickness of a farmhouse sink. Here is the rest of the story... I go to my daughter's house to install a new dishwasher and end up installing a new disposal unit as well. She has a farmhouse sink and the plumber (or the person impersonating a plumber) installed the disposal on a 1” thick farmhouse sink with the standard flange. He did not use the backup flange and just had the screws directly contacting her expensive sink so the whole disposal unit was putting pressure on three screws. It was leaking badly, stinking badly and damaged the cabinet. [see graphic with screw indents in the sink] If your sink is thicker than ¾ of an inch you need this Deep Sink Flange but if your sink is between ¾” and 1” insinkerator does not have the full solution. There are two screw lengths they provide with the standard flange that comes with the new disposal unit which are the H1 which is 1-1/2 inches and H2 which is 1-1/8 inches. Now if you install a 1” sink in the Deep Sink Flange which is 3-1/2 inches deep that means you have about 2-1/2 more inches of flange. Of course, there is the snap ring which does take up some depth but the problem is that Insinkerator does not have screws long enough for a 1” sink and definitely not a ¾ inch sink. My solution was to add a second [see graphic] backup flange (kind of a kludge) and if it does NOT hold, I will obtain some longer stainless-steel screws. They should be called Insinkerator H3 screws and would be a 5/16-18 [18 threads per inch] and 1-3/4 inches long and the end should be flat so as to have better pressure on the back flange. Last comment – yes at $50 this deep flange is a rip-off and if it came with the 1-3/4 screws it would still be a rip-off but at least you could install your disposal unit.

I got a brand new black granite sink and debated if I wanted the stainless trim or the matte black to match the sink. It looked awesome until 2 weeks after install when the edge bubbled up and peeled off the black coating in one bubble. The really fun part is that the cheaply coated inferior finish on this $20 part cost me $165 for a plumber to come out to replace. When I called the customer service person offered to send me a replacement as a courtesy, as there was no warranty on the part. Then I went to the amazon site and linked to the warranty pdf from the manufacturer. In the fine print, it state a 1 year warranty of parts and labor only if installed by an authorized insinkerator dealer. My misfortune, I only used a Master Plumber for the install so I am out of luck. I am happy with insinkerator for many years, and several purchases. This is a disappointment I will not forget.

I have this item in conjunction with it's stopper. They both work very well, and the stopper holds water wonderfully. In fact, the more water you put in the sink, the better it works under the pressure. It's a nice sturdy product, and I'm sure itll last 20 years. I am rather disappointed in the color though. This is NOT oil rubbed bronze. A real oil rubbed bronze looks like exactly that! Like someone took a rag, and wiped black oil on a piece of bronze... you should be able to see some of the bronze highlights showing through. This item is powder coated dark brown. It looks nothing like bronze at all. It's more like dark chocolate. I have my entire kitchen outfitted with Oil Rubbed Bronze metal, and this thing sticks out like a sore thumb. Normally, I wouldn't blame the manufacturer on this, since they all have different ideas of what Oil Rubbed Bronze looks like, but come on, Candy bar brown??? You Insinkerator guys make bulletproof disposals, but on this you could have done better. UPDATE! Since my previous comments, I have noticed the color chipping off this unit little by little. In no time, it will no doubt rust and become useless. I intend to replace this thing ASAP with something of better quality. I am highly disappointed that in less than 2 years the color coating is failing. This is obviously NOT powdercoated as I originally thought.

I returned it, but not because it wasn't beautiful, sturdy and valuable...but because I couldn't find a single faucet that I could match it to. The color was beautiful and both this flange and the flange cover (which I guess is sold separately, and I also purchased) would have matched everything else in my kitchen...but alas, I had to opt for an all black faucet, so I went with the black flange. I really wanted a black and gold faucet, but all the options I found, the gold color was either too light or too dark or too dusty, old and off. I highly recommend this product, if you can match it with a nice gold faucet.

I wanted it to match a nickel coloured faucet and it did the job. Very happy with the purchase.

La mia cucina ha un piano lavoro in ecotek e lo spessore per la piletta è di 2 cm. L’originale non ci stava perché poco profondo, invece con questo ho speso due minuti ed ho installato tutto. Fantastico se consideriamo che avrei dovuto limare lo spessore e non sarebbe venuto bene sicuramente… un po’ caro a mio avviso. Forse vi stava se includevano anche le guarnizioni e tutto il resto per installare. Ma ora sono a posto!

Got the insinkerator kit for a customer but the flange didn’t fit in the Belfast sink so had to get the longer one. Worked fantastic
