Stan Winston Creatures : How to Make a Monster (Evilution Demon)

Purchased for sand tray play therapy. Needed something creepy and this is it. However, it is huge! 7 inches across and 8 inches tall. In a world of miniatures this is not. Probably going to return it for that reason. Detail is good, just likely too big for my needs (will check with my play therapy instructor in two days to clarify for me).

One of the most disappointing purchases ever. The figure looks awesome, nicely detailed but the multimedia CD that comes with it isn't worth tearing it out of the packaging. I wanted to gain some insight into the process from the Stan Winston School so I thought what a better way to hold something they had created. While I didn't expect a four hour detailed explanation of the design and fabrication process, I certainly expected more than a very brief introduction to the movie character and several still pictures of the artist working on the toy. It took me about 10 minutes to go through everything on the CD. If you want to learn how to make a monster look elsewhere. Unfortunately I purchased 4 of the 5 figures before actually opening one so I'm going to have to return or sell the others.

What are you teaching your 8 year old if you buy him this?? This is a sick toy, just look at it. Sure, kids think it's great but it's your job to do what is best for them because they don't always know what is best.
