They’re a great on-the-go way to support your metabolism and stick to the Fast Metabolism plan. The Phase 1 shake can be used on the two days of Phase 1 on Haylie’s Fast Metabolism Diet plan. During this phase, we use targeted nutrition and easy-to-assess carbohydrates to reduce stress, support the adrenal glands, and flood the body with micronutrients and electrolytes. If you aren’t currently doing The Fast Metabolism Diet, the Phase 1 Shake is great as a pre- or post-workout shake, with 21 grams of protein and 5 grams of iron. It also contains electrolytes to help replace nutrients lose during exercise. The Fast Metabolism Diet Phase 1 Shake is slightly sweet, with a mild vanilla flavor. You can easily customize the flavor by adding cacao (for a chocolate flavor), ground cinnamon, and vanilla or almond extract. You can also add fresh lemon or lime zest or juice for a bright, citrus taste. Directions: Mix 2 level scoops into 8-12 ounces of chilled spring water. Add ice if desired. Expensive Shakes and Hard to Be On the Diet
Shake is probably worth getting. But expensive. The first four weeks, I lost 8 pounds. Then Christmas came, and I went out of town. Gained some lost weight back. Since then I have not been able to get totally back on this program. Too complicated. Burned out. Too expensive,However, I learned to eat fresh clean food and to avoid additives and preservatives whenever possible. I tried to go back on this diet but I just couldn’t. Also I regained my 8 pounds that I lost and added a few more and more inches.If you choose to do this, do get her cookbook. It has some good recipes in it. Get it used or on your Kindle. Whichever is cheaper. It’s just not a way I can eat “forever,” and now I’m back on to my calorie counting app on my cell phone. I’m going to the gym most every day doing whatever I feel like doing.And I am including dairy in my diet again. I miss my yogurt, and I miss having my cheese but having it legally in my diet.There’s a nutritionist at the gym, and I met with him, and he said that eating healthily and watching your calories ARE what matter. And I can do that a lot better than I can do this. Too regimented. And I bet in a month I’ll still lose 8 pounds and inches but I can’t follow this Pomroy system for very long.At first I was all gung ho, and then it got really hard to do that and I spent a lot of money on those shakes. I guess I bought each one twice. That’s a lot of money. So think about it. But her cookbook is good even if you just get it for the sake of getting it. It has some pretty good recipes in there. So I’m changing my stars to two.I’m sorry to be negative about this but this is my experience only. Some people have been highly successful so I hear. So don’t just take my word for it.

A must to help stay in the plan in rush times
This was a great solution when I was on the run and didn't have time to plan for a snack. The phase was shake tasted fine but for me the phase 2 shake is a must! As a vegetarians - I was so sick of eating eggs!

Tastes Bad
I give it two stars because of its nutritional value, however, it really tastes bad, even with recommended "fixes" to help with taste. It is, however, better tasting than P2 and P3 shakes. As expensive as they are, they should taste good!

I'm a fan of Haylie Pomroy's products
As you can see I truly believe in Haylie Pomroy's products and books. She has help my whole family in health and wellness. The Fast Metabolism shake is great for keeping my weight in check. Many people think the taste is bad, I like it and put cacal in it and my daughter puts cinnamon in it, my husband loves it just as it is. Great Product!
