Just bought another one
Hi, this product is sturdy, great value, and easy to assemble. Everything seemed perfect until I started mounting rack devices in the lower section: The problem is that the square rack mount holes (for each 1U) are supposed to be measured in groups. Each 1U has holes positioned at (0.25"-hole-0.625"-hole-0.625"-hole-0.25"), so the holes from 1U to the next 1U are 0.5" apart. This pattern has to match on each side of the rack. They got the right side tracks welded on correctly, but the left side tracks are off by 1 hole. I was still able to get my rack items mounted, but instead of 2x0.625" (or 1-1/4" within each 1U space), my holes are 0.625"+0.5" (or 1-1/8" within each 1U space... and 0.625" up to the next 1U. Sorry if you can't follow this "clear as mud" explanation but if you look at a rack dimension drawing diagram like they have on wikipedia, you'll understand. The gist is that the left side vertical rack rails do not match the right side vertical rack rails. I would need a new entire left side post to fix this, however, I have been able to fit the mounting holes of the misaligned left side, with a little bit of effort. For the price, this rack is really amazing... except for the outlined flaw and that's minor. Everything else was great. I have plans to buy another one of these for a future Behringer 2600 synth which will take 8U. By the way, there is 9U in the bottom portion of the rack and up to 12U in the top. If you are clever you can get 10U in the bottom. Love this rack. UPDATE: The Behringer 2600 will arrive this week which is 8U. Another 3U for a eurorack rack full of modules to compliment the Behringer 2600... for example, two more 2600-VCO modules.

versatile rolling rack
Love this rolling rack for my home studio. The articulated top section is very versatile for mounting mixer and power supply, with the lower section mounted with interface, compressor, effects units, etc. Very sturdy, and the wheels allow for easy access and storage when you need to move it out of the middle of the room.

Be sure to specify pack in Amazon box, otherwise outstanding unit!
BE SURE to check the "ship in Amazon box" option when ordering this item prime/FBA (fulfillment by amazon) as the manufacturer's packaging is TERRIBLE and parts will be falling out and potentially missing. THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING stand for the price, and competes with DJ stands at $400 and more. We got the 12 U (referring to the front rack mounts) model, which wonderfully includes an additional potential 16 units on the "mixer" top. NOTE: this is mislabeled as a "mixer stand" on amazon and is actually a wonderful DJ stand with multiple uses. You can see in our picture that we're using this as a light controller (DMX 512) unit, with two 12 bank controllers (OTB or out of the box-computer, meaning hardware controllers) on the top, with a shelf for an ITB (in the box) DMX 512 freeware program on a laptop. In addition, on the front, we've got a light amp on the very bottom (1,000 watt Behringer-- stand is not stable enough to put a heavy amp anywhere, but surely not above the bottom roller stand for extra support), an LED sound activated light strip, a patch bay, and a rack mounted power strip-- all light! NOTICE that as you face this unit forward, anything you mount on the front will be the "wrong" direction, in that you'd have to go around and face your audience or stage to make adjustments, so things like patch bays, power strips etc. that don't require adjustment after initial set up work best. This is only to say you can face it either way, we'll try to upload photos of both, in case you want your LED strips facing the audience, for example as a DJ. If you do use the top "mixer stand" for rack mounts, don't forget to leave room for front facing power and cords. This is perfectly stable for light to medium duty. No heavy amps, otherwise, very strong and well built. Note also that some units (the 12 U in particular) comes PURPOSELY MISSING two support brackets. They ARE listed in the parts list, but there is a small footnote in the very sparse directions that mention support bars differ by model. This is one reason there are so many negative reviews about missing parts; the other is the aforementioned terribly loose box. If you buy this from the marketplace instead of amazon, buyer beware as amazon gives the option of an outside box, which will contain any rails that do attempt an escape in transit. Outstanding buy, wish it was listed under rack mounts instead of just "mixer stands" and more of us would find it! Minus one star for the packaging only, 5 stars for the unit itself, REALLY VERSATILE!

It just works. Heavy duty. string
Not too shabby. It is funny to me that engineers can figure out how to use "just OK" materials, and join them together in such a way to make them virtually out indestructible. I would have never thought this thing was anything but "flimsy" when I took it out of the box. Felt like it was wobbling all over... the holes and screws werent matching up... legs and crossbars were falling to the concrete floor with a BIZZZZZAAAAANNNNGGGGG!! Over and over. Then I got the front or the back on (cant remember which,) tightened screws down and a the sudden, I was holding this string, rigid structure. Ready to add the rest of the supports, shelves and bolts. Rolls around nice. plenty of room for other rack mount gear I have to install. Nice piece of gear. I might get another.

Well constructed for a fair price.
This rack is sturdier than you might think. It is relatively easy to assemble and there were no major flaws. I doubt it could stand up to multiple power amps or other super heavy equipment, but it handles a large mixer, probably 8u (takes up the entire top), a 800 watt Peavey power amp, a Furman power conditioner, 3 other relatively light 1u units, and 1 2u unit. It is showing no signs of buckling. If this were going to be moved often, I might consider changing the casters because of the weight load. There are not enough screws to mount this much equipment, so buy a pack if you do not already have some. You will need cage bolts and screws. The shipping was late, but this was an Amazon problem and does not reflect on the rack.

Great solid rack
Great solid rack, easy to put together , instructions are very vague though. Be careful of sharp edges around the rack strip inserts . It’s a great rack for the price no doubt.

When I received the package, the box lid was not taped properly. It was a bit opened. Inside the box was another box, so maybe no big deal. When I opened the second box, the bag where the washer and screws was torn open. Then I realized that some washers were gone. I had to find washer in my tools to address it. Otherwise, product as described.

During Shipping my package was damaged and I was helped out to insure the parts I needed were shipped right away. Would highly recommend this unit. It holds up perfectly fully loaded.
