Great to read to a younger child
I read this book (along with "I Was a Third Grade Spy" and "A Dog on His Own" - both books by the same author) to my 5 year old son. We BOTH enjoyed the books so much. You don't need to wait until your child can read this book by themselves - it's a great chapter book to sit down to each night with a younger child. Excellent, fun, reading. Adults (well this one at least) enjoy it too.

Very Humorous and age appropriate!
My son and I read this together and laughed at various parts as we enjoyed the plot and anticipated the resolution! He started 3rd grade this year and was able to connect to the events in the story. Very humorous!

End-of-the-school-year book for my 2nd grade class!
Loved the book. Used it as a novel study with as an end of the school year project! I created a comprehension packet. It took about 2 weeks. Most of my students really enjoyed this book!
