I have been installing keel guards like this for 25 years and like the ones before, this guard is on point for protection and quality of material. I would like to offer a couple hints to help you get more from this product. 1. Buy longer than you think you need. I typically run the full length of the keel. Why? I have found that yhe more tou protect the better off you water craft is going to be. If you ever come ashore on sand, you may want to spin around to leave or you get caught with dropping tide... the extra protection never hurts anything. 2. Installation made super simple. Take wide blue painters tape and make a copy of the keel guard by laying out the blue tape on the rubber side of the material (not the adhesive side). Why? Well when your trying to measure 5" width on a keel (a curved surface) you will never hit the exact size. By making a tape copy of the actual guard you can lay that out on your boat...then mark the outside edge of this with blue tape. When you remove the copy, you are left with the exact size of the area the keel guard will occupy. You can then scuff the area and apply the primer in full confidence you have only roughed the area up your keel guard will occupy. As for this actual product, I just installed on a 23' Seadoo GTX 300 Ltd. The process took 3 hrs and using the method above, it was an exact fit. Again, top product that will give you years of use.

Straightforward install. Take your time, prep the area, especially if you’re removing one. I replaced the factory one that came on my 2022 Nitro Z20. The boat was a left over model in 2023 so I’ve only used it two seasons. Wasn’t impressed with the factory one not lasting. Like I said, take your time, remove all the old 2 sided tape from the old. I highly recommend using a heat gun, then a rubber decal removal wheel that goes on a drill. You can find these at Orileys or here on Amazon as well. The wheel will save you a ton of time on the removal process. Then clean the area really well with some rubbing alcohol, scuff it up with the included pad and definitely use the primer that comes with the kit. Or buy more if needed but definitely use enough of it. Use the tool for applying the guard. This helps work the guard upwards with pressure applying it evenly. Hope this helps someone thinking of installing themselves. I know most of the shops overcharge by a lot. Like $1000+. I have my own Powersports shop and luckily have the necessary equipment & tools to make this job a success.

I thought this would be a challenge to install on my Phoenix bass boat. Instead I was pleasantly surprised at how solid it is. I tried taping it to the boat so make a template for the sanding prep but the tape wouldn't hold. Instead I made a template from a roll of craft paper, taped it in place and used painters tape to outline the profile of the keel guard. This helped me keep the sanding to exactly where it should be. The tape also helped me properly align the guard. It is stuck tight and should never come off. Best of all it looks like a pro did it instead of a rank amateur.

This takes a little bit of planning and prep work, as expected, but covers up existing nicks and scrapes. It's very durable, easily adheres and fits over the steps in your hull, if you have them, and is long enough to protect your boat as you intend it to. Looks good on there. If the boat wasn't in storage right now, I'd send a pic, but this is a basic thing many owners should use to protect their boats.

Started to get some sand bar rash on the keel and this was a great solution to protect my boat. I ordered a less expensive keel guard that advertised “3M” adhesive- it wasn’t 3M. Ordered this keel guard and it was worth the extra money 3M adhesive and high quality adhesion promoter. I followed the instructions and installed the 9’ on my Bulls Bay 2200. You will need to get a roll of 3M blue painters tape 1.5”-2”, a roll of paper towels, and some isopropyl alcohol. Their install video is step by step also.

Came in a timely manner, was exactly the right product. Very pleased with the product an info on item.Came with all we needed to install.

I'm not one for wasting words. This Keep Guard was delivered fast, clear instructions, easier to install than I thought, looks great and finally, hardly more than simple scuffs when I beached my boat on rocks, gravel or concrete launch. Exceeded my expectations!

サンプル写真と違い、小さな箱に詰められて送られて来ました。 小さく巻かれていたので、伸ばしたり、キールに合わせてＶの字にするのが大変で、とにかく取り付けるのにとても苦労しました。 テープ補強放置で、伸ばして型付けたりして、結果的には、綺麗に取り付けれたので満足です。 小さい箱に入ってたからなのか？ 寒い日に作業したから硬かったのか？ 暑い日に作業行ったら柔らかく扱いやすいのかは、よく分かりません。 耐久性に期待です。

Great quality product. With the help of my Father in Law we fitted a 7 foot keelguard to an aluminium hull. Recommend following Youtube clips for tips and tricks for ease of installation.
