Getting this knife set for $62.00 didn’t lead me to feel any great expectations for what the quality would be but, at the time, it was shown to be almost 50% off. Having received and thoroughly examined the set, I can honestly say that it easily matches up to $100.00+ sets that I’ve owned in the past. Don’t be a goober, like some of the other reviewers I’ve seen here, and be surprised that these knives are delivered to you well-sharpened. They’re knives. They’re supposed to be sharp. If you tear into the box like you’re expecting your Daisy Red Rider BB gun, you’re going to get a nasty surprise and you can write your review after the stitches come out. Yes, they are exceptionally sharp, so use caution when opening them. Be still, my heart! These knives sport actual real wood handles! Because of that, I strongly recommend that you purchase a bottle of mineral oil, if you’re going to be putting them in the dishwasher. Luckily, I already had some on hand because I use it on my guitar fretboards. If you don’t follow this one little step, you’re going to be coming back and changing your review to remark about how poor the quality of the handles is. Great knives for the money you’re going to spend. They’re very nice. They’re very sharp. They’re very much worth what I paid for them.

I love these knives! I wanted a lower cost set of knives, but I tend not to be able to use them for one reason or another. These are thick metal, full tang (really important for me as I tend to break handles) and have large enough handles for my giant hands. Most lower end knives have handle that are too small for me, and uncomfortable to hold. Not these. These fit nicely in my hand, with a really comfortable grip. The large ones have nice little notches for your index finger too. They are so sharp! I bumped my finger on one and it went right through my skin, so be careful. Needless to say they cut nicely. It's a nice knife set, I have nothing bad to say about it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I was looking for an affordable but well made set of knives that included steak knives. Its been a while since we've had to get a new set but we are very happy with them! Incredibly sharp and easy to use. I do not let them soak or set in water because the instructions recommend not to do that. Just a quick wash and dry, back into the block. I haven't had to sharpen one yet so that's good but I'm looking forward to trying that out when it comes along. I do have a bit of trouble with the shears but I guess I just need to learn how to use them so that isn't against the product itself.

It is a beautiful set. In reading the reviews prior to me buying I thought it would be super sharp. I wasn't impressed. The sheers don't cut AT All! I thought maybe I'm holding it wrong, so I had a couple of my family members try and it wasn't me...they just don't cut.

Knife set arrived in 1 day. When opening the knife set I cut my finger. These Knifes are razor sharp. So # 1 Be very very careful. For the money of $ 50.00 dollars I think it would be hard to find a better set of knifes. The Scissors hang in the middle. maybe they have a small burr ? but I dont care about them. The wood knife block is very nice. The handles look amazing. I hope they hold up.

Love these knives. A gift for myself for Christmas. I am an avid cook and need something sharp and that will hold up. I feel I have found both. They are SHARP!! They have a nice weight and balance. I have MS and my hands are somewhat weak, but these do not tire my hands. I love the retro wood look. The block is a beautiful rich brown, not red. I would highly recommend these. So far...if a later issue I will do an addendum.

the sharpest set of knives i ever bought. careful they are sharp and very sturdy. feels very good in the hands. love them. these are well made. at that price am sorted. keep safely- away from children - very sharp. cutting made easy in the kitchen. blindly bought the set and happy.

My husband and I immediately threw away ALL our old silverware cutlery knives etc...and FELL IN LOVE with the set! The color is so rich..the weight the quality EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! Then my husband started laughing..holding up the "scissors" and asked me if the reminded me of anything??? He up clipped them opened them and let them close...the strength the power..I would never want to get my finger caught in them!! This BLOCK IS AMAZING AND BEYOND THE WORTH OF ITS COST!!! I will be buying again for an upcoming wedding gift!!!
