He LOVES these books and I've bought him a few of these 3-pack books on desertcart (way cheaper than anywhere else!) as gifts for him, just to say "Good job, keep going!" Really, for how thick and colorful the book is-- this is really a nice price. While they (all the Garfield 3-pack books-- which there are many!) are generally paperback, it's a nice sturdy binding and, unlike some of the other books that kids his age tend to be attracted to, I know the words are spelled correctly, the grammar isn't funky-- and there is nothing too racy in it! I say if you can find something that gets your kid reading that meet those criteria-- GRAB IT!

Fun for another generation
I introduced this to my granddaughters and we love it. The humor is timeless, and the illustrations give me a happy opportunity to provide them context for life in the 1980s.

Fantastical
If you are a fan of fat sarcastic cats and laughing, you should probably buy these. Even if you don't like fat cats, you will still probably enjoy these Garfield comics. My wife doesn't even like cats and she loved this as a Christmas gift!

I like how all of the strips are in full color. The flow is best when the weekday comics cover a big story arc.

Garfield spans Generations
I loved Garfield as a kid. I am now a forty plus year old Mom with two kids who are growing up in a bilingual environment. Garfield in English makes reading so enjoyable for all of us. We share our favourite cartoons strips with giggles galore! Three cheers for Garfield and Company with Lasagna All Around!
