Hello, I only received 1 defrost switch

Most refrigerators that have only (1) freezer compartment, will only have (1) Defrost Thermostat Switch.

While this isn't designed for a GE fridge, the open/close temps are very close. This is just a switch that open/closes with temps so will it work?

The switch is controlling a heating element in an enclosed space containing plastics, styrene and perishable food, the engineers designed the defrost cycle to behave in a certain way, maximizing frost removal while minimizing defrosting of food at a given set of temperatures. I would recommend that getting a replacement that is an exact match for temps. It might work, but if it fails the consequences are not trivial in many scenarios. I will say that this unit has performed in my application without problem since install.

I believe you're asking if the part will work for your refrigerator, if so you better be a decent electrician cause the schematics for Kitchen Aid model is a little different than the Frigidaire model that I successfully installed into. However, in most cases the common function of the Thermostat are all basically the same. You're going to have to take apart you freezer panel where the cooling coils are located and look at the wiring in order to determine if the part can be terminated/installed without making major or minor modifications. As far as if it can physically fit, if there's room, then yes. However, I'm also assuming your issue or major problem is that your freezer is icing up to much and won't defrost, right?

My freezer was not working properly. I decided to way my options and was lucky enough to find this. 5 months later it’s holding the correct temperature and working great! It was easy to install and fits perfectly for my freezer. I was worried that it may not be the right one but everything is working how it should. Instead of having to buy another refrigerator I was able to find this and it fixed all my issues ! It was shipped out quickly thankfully so I was able to get it right in without losing any food! It was worth a shot and I’m glad I was able to find this because it was a lot cheaper then having to replace my refrigerator and worth the money
