Marshall Tufton - Wireless Speaker Black/Brass

Use it for outside life, by the pool, at the BBQ, around the fire pit. It's a great bluetooth speaker. It is large, not a small, dainty unit - and I can't see an auto-off function, so remember to turn it off to preserve battery

Initially I was very skeptical of buying Marshall Tufton because I had never owned a Marshall device before but I knew it had top reviews for its audio quality. And yes, it did deliver that. The sound is so clear and doesn't tear out even on full volumes like other speakers do. The bass on tufton is amazing, and it is even adjustable!! Crazyyyy! I have used it for 2 weeks on a single charge, so good with battery. I'd always recommend buying it. Best investment!

The product itself is class but UK sales should include the right plug instead of needing an adapter at additional cost.

Had Motief 2 (oortjes), Monitor 2 (koptelefoon) en nu Tufton, ze zijn allemaal top. Ben nu aan het sparen voor Bromley 750 🤓. Mij bevalt het geluid en ontwerp het meest.

Da ricordare che lo Speaker perfetto che suona bene con tutti i generi musicali purtroppo non esiste. Chi parla e dice: ma se equalizzo risolvo! E io rispondo: ogni Speaker o meglio dire ogni casa madre dá una propria impronta di Soud ai loro prodotti quindi equalizzando si risolve parzialmente o in alcuni casi si notano anche peggioramenti nella gamma audio. Quindi il Tufton dimostra di essere uno Speaker di ottima fattura e buona componentistica elettronica. Da il meglio di se con musica a scorrimento lento e non House. Le frequenze alte escono cristalline è molto incisive portando a fine corsa il Trimmer. I medi a basso volume sono un po’ ovattati e dietro la scena sonora. Escono fuori a pieno intorno al 40% del volume. Il vocale é ben definito e il buon Tweeter arricchisce il dettaglio sonoro. La parte più bella per i mie gusti che non si trova facilmente su altri Speaker é il basso molto corposo anche a bassi livelli di ascolto e con Gian a 0%. Colpo secco e preciso rispetto ad un Boombox 2 per intendersi che tiene in sospensione il basso aiutato dalle membrane passive. Nel complesso un buon Speaker da ascoltare a livelli audio dal 30/40% perché solo lì viene fuori la vera grinta. La potenza non manca e per chi possiede un lettore Hi Res potrà sfruttare lo streaming audio in alta risoluzione AptX cosa che buona parte di Speaker Top di gamma non hanno.

Final verdict: 10/10 - Just go for it, don't think twice, you will love it. Build Quality: 10/10 - Sturdy, not too heavy, classic Marshall Gold Trim finish, just perfect. The exact size you need to carry it anywhere in the house (kitchen, bathroom, random rooms, little spot on the shelf, etc). Sound Quality: 10/10 - Exceptional and amazing, bass and treble physical knobs, sounds even better than more expensive lineups in Marshall's own collection of bluetooth speakers. Listened to so many comparisons live and nothing else compares to Tufton's sound. Tufton wins even against Woburn III which is more expensive. Definitely worth it at Rs 35k. Volume & Bass: 10/10 - Just perfect. Can fill up a single room or the entire house depending on what you set. Makes the whole floor, windows and stuff inside cupboards vibrate when you set it too loud with high bass (awesome), without feeling like it's tearing apart (will never feel like it's giving broken or buzzing sound). Surprisingly feels more powerful, cleaner and higher quality than 4x 80W old Samsung speaker set I used to have earlier. Battery Life: 10/10 - used for 3-5 hours a day at 60% volume, 70% bass and 50% treble for 2 weeks. Battery was low but still going. Much better than expected! The charging cord is a common 2-point 2.5A one, easy to find replacements online as well. Can also play while charging. Perfect. Bluetooth: 9/10 - Near perfect, supports both SBC and Qualcomm AptX 16bit 48KHz high quality audio over bluetooth. I am a Viper4Android user (root, equalizer) but never felt the need to tweak Tufton's original sound! Connectivity: 10/10 - both Aux and Bluetooth depending on what you need. Story: I was looking for a great portable speaker that has both wired and wireless modes. Main aspect was the sound quality. Switching away from 4x 80W old high quality wired Samsung/Sony speakers I used to have earlier. First I thought, how will a single speaker compare to 4 speakers with the same power... Will music sound good quality even over bluetooth? (bluetooth does feel lossy and lower quality in general at times) Checked out many many speakers from Samsung, Sony, Bose, even Marshall's own lineup, in person to see which one sounds the best. Tufton ended up sounding better than everything else, even Woburn III. Listened to so many comparisons live and nothing else compares to Tufton's sound. Had no doubt about it, and I'm very happy. Will be difficult for even Marshall themselves to make something better than this, at this price point, in this form factor.
