Is this kit necessary if I only use spring water with my Keurig machine?

I think this set is useless unless you have a machine that has the filter and everything but the only water that doesn’t get scale build up is distilled water so you will need to descale your machine. I just use vinegar.

I used this, then brewed through 2 full canisters of water (no carafe side, just pods). Still can't get rid of the chemical taste. Is there a trick?

Hello and good afternoon. I had this same problem with mine. I ran a water only cycle with half water and half vinegar. After that I did 2 more cycles of just water. It seemed to have done the trick.
