Would it work with a calling and texting app that gives you a phone number to use instead of a regular phone number?

The invisaWear charm uses a Bluetooth connection with a paired smartphone that can be up-to 30 feet away. Depending on the phone, the range can be much farther. It requires a mobile number to be synced with the account to receive phone calls/text messages during an emergency. Does your phone need to be nearby for the gps to be sent or alert to 911?

Hello! invisaWear works with a connected smart phone that’s within 30 ft. Unfortunately, during the majority of attacks, your phone is either out of reach (e.g at the bottom of a purse) or if it’s in your hand you can’t really look at the attacker and ask them to pause, unlock your phone, call 911, and tell the operator where you are and what the emergency is. Do you need to have a paid subscription for this to work or does it work with the free app ?

No monthly fees or subscriptions are required in order for you to be able to use your invisaWear device to notify your emergency contacts and 9-1-1 that you need help. Please note that message and data rates may apply. Please also be aware that your invisaWear charm has a battery designed to last at least one year, however we typically see it last about a year and a half to two years for most people. The app will automatically detect once your battery is low and send you a notification to purchase a replacement charm (just the charms, not the jewelry piece). Replacement charms are offered at a discount ($99), and you should also have the option to update to any of our new styles at that point you'd like! There is an optional premium subscription that we highly recommend. The premium features allow you to rest assured that a trained ADT agent is handling your emergency. In an emergency, an ADT agent would try to call you to verify you are indeed in danger and to gather any additional information. The agent will immediately notify 9-1-1 and text your emergency contacts with your up-to-date location. Video Call has an ADT agent virtually by your side via video. They’ll send help if needed and provide the video as evidence to authorities if requested. You can even chat with an ADT agent at any time and set activity tracking timers.
