Not bad, but I won't say it's perfect.
I love this case! It fits my 15" Macbook Pro perfectly. So perfectly that it actually takes some muscle power to get it on, but once it's on, you don't have to worry about it just falling off on you. Now I don't plan to throw my laptop down a flight of stairs and see if this case protects it or anything, but I haven't had an issue with it so far. The only "drops" it's had are the occasional slide off the couch or something of equally short distance and it's done just fine. I also love the feel of the case. I've had a clear one in the past, not sure what brand, but it was slippery and made me feel like I was going to drop it constantly. Even though this case is smooth, the rubberized material provides your hands with a better grip. It's still possible to see through it, too. I wanted a see through case so I can still view my decals (which I place under my case to protect from wear and tear). This case allows for that.I've also used keyboard covers in the past so I love that this case included one. It's a perfect fit and a perfect color. Though it does hinder the backlit keyboard functionality, you can still see the light through it, which is a big plus for me. Keep in mind that if you're a big user of the F1-F12 keys, you want to be sure you're using Lion or Mountain Lion with this cover. I'm pretty sure the only keys that are different are the F3 and F4 keys, but I know that the keyboard cover does not match up with my 2011 (Snow Leopard) Macbook Pro, only my 2012 (Mountain Lion) one. The cover offers a great sound dampening on the clacking of keys as well as protects your keyboard from the dust and hair and crumbs that can weasel their way beneath your keys.REVISED: My original review was when I first got the case in March. This revision is from June. This case held up nicely for the price, and it's still going strong. I do want to note that one of the corners is cracking and I'm not exactly sure why. My laptop is only ever in my room, in class, or in my extremely padded backpack. It's only had one fall since purchasing this case, and it wasn't too far of a fall either. Regardless, it's protected my laptop for the most part. The bottom edge of my Macbook Pro now has hundreds of little dings in it from things getting caught between the case and the laptop. And it's not as if I don't clean it. I remove the case to clean out any trapped things at least twice a month, more if I notice that it needs it. I'm really upset about that but I suppose I'll get over it. It's protected my laptop from any real damage and that's what's important. The top has been virtually unaffected. No dings or anything. I think the problem with the bottom is that the fit is so snug, the little feet that keep it connected to the laptop eventually started wearing down and making it easier for things to slip into that space. I still don't see how those little things caused so much damage but too late now. It's not really something that would bother anyone other than me since I know it's there. I'm tempted to leave the bottom off but I'm afraid of the damage that might cause in the long run.The cracks in the case get a little bigger every day so I think I probably only have another month or two before I need a new case.

Fits Perfectly, Looks good, Well Vented - Great Value
I gave 5 stars because the product is exactly as described, fits on easily and looks good. I got black so make my Mac Book a bit less of a target for would be thieves at first glance from behind the screen. And to also blend it a bit more at work as I am the ONLY Mac user in the place and I refuse to use some yucky Dell or other substandard laptop just because that is what we are told we have to use. The cover makes it easier to show up at meetings and not obviously be breaking the company rules with an outside laptop. The Apple still glows through which is my only complaint but that can be fixed pretty easy with some black tape or construction paper inside the cover. The keyboard cover is cool, makes the keys feel a little more something can't put my finger on it, when you type. I have noticed that the space bar needs a little extra power to get a space each time but that may just be my keyboard as I have had to take all the keys off to clean a juice spill and a couple never quite returned to exact pre-spill response. Feels good but I'm not sure it will actually keep a spill out of the computer, but would at least run it to the edges and keep it off the keys and give you time to grab a towel or throw your shirt on the spill. Also wondering if the keyboard cover causes in heat venting issues. Have to watch that to see. The back cover is vented well and has nice big rubber feet to secure the Mac from sliding around. Can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. Anyway overall a 5 star is deserved. Simple piece of equipment that fit perfectly and I would recommend a cover like this to anyone with a Mac Book pro. If nothing else, make it less of a theft target and keep the metal outside nice and new looking.

Great Case for the Price you Pay
First off, it should be noted (again) that this will NOT fit the Macbook Pro with Retnia. They don't have disc drives, the regular macbook pro does, and is thicker. This fits a regular mid-2010's macbook great. I bought mine summer 2012 and it fits perfect. So I had a similar case by Speck for a few years, and finally I decided I needed another one, after enough wear on the old one broke the bottom piece. Well they sold out of/discontinued the purple I wanted, and also they're pretty expensive. I decided to take a gamble and buy this one, since for $15, it seemed right. I could always return it if I didn't like it.So here's my short list of pros and cons. I like this case and it's great for my use (toting my computer around the house, protecting it from scratches), but I can't say as to if it would hold up to rugged use (like being toted around a college campus) since I'm not using it that way.Pros-Cheap price compared to other hardshell cases-Satin finish prevents appearances of scratches better than non-finished-clamps all around the body of the computer-Allows full open and closure-Easy access to all ports and drives-Vent holes on the bottom piece-See through (If you have a decal on the computer, you'll still be able to see it)-Silicone keyboard coverCons-Doesn't protect the back corners at all-Difficult to remove to clean under-Possibly leaves the lid open a fraction. I can't tell if thats so, since the computer shuts off when you close it and it simply looks like there's a gap, but it's possible. The quality and thickness of the plastic seems similar to that of the case I had previously, but the back corners not being protected are my biggest concern. I'm sure it's to facilitate opening the computer all the way, and it does snap in under the hinge, so staying on doesn't seem to be an issue, but I would have liked to have them covered, in case of drops. Also, I'm happy it came with a keyboard cover, since I like to coordinate them, and keep my keyboard free of dust and hair. Some people seem to have had a bad cover or one that doesn't fit, but mine seems to fit fine. I was a little loose around the spacebar, but it seems to have settled, and is working/staying on fine.
