Is it Firecuda drive? Or slower than that?

No ! Firecuda is a SSD . This is a hard drive !! The old school hardisk external drive , just amped up and tweaked for a bit faster processing for gaming. Good transfer and download speeds . The drawback ? New games will not load to play from external games , older games work just fine , xbox one or x/s series games will not load to play, you have to transfer them to internal disk to play. So excellent for storing games.... You don't have to download each time. But older games , without the x/s compatibility work just fine for plug and play. Hope this helps .
