How many Bluetooth connections/devices does this device support?

It can only be connected to one at a time. But I personally have a laptop and a couple of phones that it is paired with. Just have to disconnect then connect when you change devices.

Does this support Passive or Active speakers?

Active only, there's no power amplifier in this thing...
