Better than original monopoly!
I bought pug-opoly for my parents since my family is in love with pugs. Over winter break, we literally played it every night until I went back to school. Each individual pug has it's own cute personality, making you want to buy every single pug you land on. So basically, it's a cuter version of monopoly and I not only recommend this game to pug lovers but to everyone else too!! Although the wooden dice the game came with is a little hard to read, the good dog, bad dog cards are so funny! A lot of clever pugness was put into this game. Best game purchase I have ever made!

6 year old loves it
We tried a few entry level kids board games and most of them my son grew tired pretty quick. but this one he loves. the pugs theme makes it attractive for kids. It is good math practice for my son who has to learn things like "ok you owe the bank $65. if you give the bank a $100 bill, how much does the bank need to give you back?" The rules are still not oversimplified and it still has concepts like mortgage so it is a good brain exercise for the kids. the board is sturdy and the materials are nice - nothing feels cheap even though I would not call them collector's level quality. Overall a great purchase with a very good price, highly recommended.

Classic game but with poorly-chosen board pieces
I heartily agree with the reviewers who said they weren't thrilled with the small dog toy pieces that take the place of Monopoly's traditional hotels and houses. I bought this Pug version for my Mom and we played it last week for a few hours. The dog toys were more trouble than they were worth. Several of the pieces are spherical or barrel-shaped and it could be a nightmare at times to keep them stationary on the board. If they ever make a change to this game package, I would recommend changing the dog toys to things that are less difficult to work with. I would also recommend changing the color of the "Good Dog" and "Bad Dog" cards (the cards that take the place of the regular version's "Community Chest" and "Chance" cards). Both decks are the same color and lose some visual appeal as a result. They are similar enough to the background color of the game board that they rob the playing experience of the visual dynamics of the original version. Plus, should the cards get mixed together they will take more effort to properly separate since they are virtually indistinguishable from each other. On a side note, the property deed cards come with pug trivia factoids on the back. Monopoly is always fun to play, but this pug version is just a novelty that loses something in the translation thanks to some poor design choices.

Perfect for pug nerds 🤓
Got this as a birthday present and we’re enjoying it so far! I love how they include fun pug facts behind the cards. The only changes I would make would be to (1) make the money pug-themed and (2) change the game pieces to pugs (the flea one creeps me out!). Regardless, this was fun for the whole fam!

Such a wonderful PUG monopoly game!
So great!! My husband had a Pug for 15 years. He really misses 'Pugsley.' I purchased this for his birthday along with a Pug joke book. He loved them. We played Pug-opoly with our grandchildren who LOVED it as well. Lots of cute Pug names and characters. One of the best gifts I have bought for him. He really misses 'the little man' as I called him. I'm pleased that this puts a big smile on his face whenever we play it.
