Is there any reason why the description particularly mentions elecraft and flexradio?  are these not "standard" powerpole connectors?

Accepted Answer

They are standard PowerPole TYPE connectors, but are not genuine PowerPole connectors.  That said, they work just fine with the genuine PP connectors.  I have mine hooked to a Yaesu 857D radio, an MFJ tuner, etc. Great little alternative to the more popular - and more expensive - version sold by a different manufacturer.

Question 2

is there a led showing when power is on? any les for blown fuses?

There is not an led indicator when the power bar is energized.  Only blown fuse indicator is connected device does not work unless the device has power indicator

how can this be mounted? Does it have any feet? I am considering to mount it on a telescope.

Accepted Answer

The nicely made unit does not have feet - it does have two roughly 3/8 inch wide rubber pads attached at the ends of it's flat bottom.  The unit comes with two 1 x 1.75 inch sets of self adhesive 3M Dual Lock strips and the bottom is marked where these can be applied.  The unit is quite light and if not subject to weather it appears the Dual Lock strips should hold it in place.  Very impressed with the quality of this unit.

Can i run power from a 110v ac to 12v dc converter plugged into the wall and distribute power to multiple motorized blinds?

Although Carlos and Carl have made very good comments, the original question does not contain enough information to determine the correct answer(s). The Windcamp Distribution block, which I have sitting in front of me, is designed to Distribute UP to 45 Amps of 12 volt electricity (the input) to up to 7 individually fused circuits(the loads). Secondly, it is designed to use Anderson Power Pole connectors, which you may have to install to all the wire ends, which means buying the connectors and the crimper ($65+) minimum, just to be able to start that process. Coming back to the electrical side, we need to know what the current (amp) draw/load is for each blind set he wants to operate at the same time, or if this is a single blind operation.Then we need to know what is the output of the 12 volt invertor/power supply in amps or watts, so we can see if he has enough current to do the job. Then the wire size comes into play based on that amp/current draw per blind set and how many used at once. All this is available knowledge at many electrical web sites, specifically the Low Voltage type sites.My suggestion is for the caller to contact a Low Voltage specialty contractor in there area or a real electrician before continuing and possibly causing damage to the home.Dale, N0pey, ham radio operator and happy to help.
