Do I need loft lid for this if used under insulation?

I'm not sure what a loft lid is , perhaps it's a typing error ? Regarding these light fittings , they proved ridiculously easy to fit , they weigh next to nothing so I can't imagine a situation where these couldn't be fitted , mine are fitted to my kitchen ceiling using lightweight plasterboard fixings , very simple wiring job , they are excellent in terms of brightness. If this is a sealed unit the led 'bulb' (whatever it is) i assume is not replaceable

No there isn’t a bulb it’s a unit that once the light goes you replace complete unit but the price you pay for the unit you get your moneys worth it lasts a long long time.
