The media could not be loaded.  I was a little worried when I read the reviews about the mat not laying flat but it laid flat right out of box. I am very impressed by the heavy weight mat…very good quality as is the ruler. I tried the larger cutter on four layers of fabric and it cut with ease and the locking mechanism is easy to engage and worked well. I tried the smaller cutter on two layers of fabric and it also cut with ease. This is my first set of rotary cutting tools and my first try at it so I have nothing to compare with but I can say with confidence that I have never had straighter clean cuts. Super impressed so far! It also came with 5 extra blades for both cutters. I tried to buy local but the cost of the six items at my local fabric store was more than quadruple the cost. I would say great value for the price and if you are just starting out with rotary tools this set is a good starting point.

My son uses this for fashion school projects. It been very useful
