Dixon China Marker, Black, Thin Lead, Dozen

This is proving to be a game changer for the daily time/temp chart we use for items in hot or cold holding. It is fairly sturdy, compact enough to be utilized as any pen/pencil, and more reliable than a dry erase marker (which dries out or smudges easily). It can be tricky to get the correct amount of the lead exposed. It marks smoothly, but due to the waxy nature of the pigment, line size is variable but manageable with patience and practice.

I was disappointed with the quality of packaging, and how it came to me, however the quality of the marker itself is satisfactory. I will use these for window painting and the lines stay put and it want to erase anything it's easy to remove. The transparency of the marker on glass isn't that visible unless you go over it twice, but that's okay for me since it's purpose is for sketching only.

I discovered these at work they work great on all materials but tape. I use them to black out my address on old boxes and medicine labels. The pull strings don't unravel the paper closer to the tip so I normally use a box cutter to cut away the paper.

I have used these in my classroom with first graders for years. My students love to color on black paper but the colors do not show up well. I let them use this yellow and the white. The color shows up so well on black or dark blue paper. The kids love to use the special pencils. They seem to sharpen themselves by pulling the little string at the tip of the pencil. Some students like to sharpen with the sharpener. They sharpen well and do not easily break. They last the students the entire school year .

I love these grease pencils -- and Dixon is the "best" brand. I write/read a lot and use these yellow (and red and blue) pencils to emphasize and slash. I am trying to get Dixon to sell me the green ones too in an end-user friendly size (one box of 12) -- I will keep working on it! Sharon H

These thin china markers do not peel correctly like the thick lead ones. I tried four or five, and the paper peel keeps breaking. It is very frustrating. Also, the lead breaks way too easily when writing. I would avoid this product and just get the thick lead ones.

Great product, works well for my glasswork, I buy a lot of these.

Expensive. Genuine brand, none broken, Does the job, just slight sticker shock. for a box of NOT fine art material. NOT common in local stores except Staples. Same price at Amazon. Michael’s, hardware stores had NO idea what I meant :/ closest I could find was a tire crayon in Automotive dept. Using these to mark plastic jugs going outside to get head start on some cold dependant seedlings. Apparently Tim Hortons uses these to mark your double doubles too. Who knew they use such expensive pencils? Would be cheaper to use gold leaf. Anyways these will probably last me the rest of my life when I can boast I got them at a steal in 2026 for $17!
