Retro Vibes with Modern Convenience!
he Victrola Journey+ Signature Turntable Record Player is an absolute gem! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by the classic design and linen finish in cream—it adds a touch of vintage charm to any room. But this turntable isn’t just about looks; it delivers excellent sound quality too. I love that it plays records at all three speeds (33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM), making it versatile enough for my entire vinyl collection. The built-in speakers are surprisingly powerful for their size, producing clear, warm sound that brings out the best in my favorite records. For those times when I want even more sound, the stereo RCA output lets me connect to external speakers effortlessly. The Bluetooth connectivity is a fantastic feature, allowing me to stream music wirelessly from my phone when I’m not in the mood for vinyl. It’s like having the best of both worlds—vintage and modern—all in one compact and portable suitcase design. Overall, the Victrola Journey+ is an incredible value for the quality and features it offers. Whether you’re a vinyl enthusiast or just love the idea of a retro turntable with modern capabilities, I highly recommend this record player!

Oh It’s Cool
It works quite well. We’ve been playing records we bought as far back as 1972 and no slipping or skipping. Sound quality equals or exceeds the “quality” stereos from that distant time period.

**BEWARE: Failed after few days - Terrible Customer Support**
We purchased the Victrola record player in October for our daughter as a Christmas present. We wanted to get ahead of the christmas shopping/market as you can imagine for fear we would miss the big day. We set the player up on Christmas morning (Dec-25th). It was working, albeit slipping but working for most part. Our daughter was so excited playing her Taylor Swift records. Unfortunately, after a few days - the record player ceased to work. Needless to say, my daughter was upset. We reached out to victrola. Long story short - victrola response was that unit is no longer under warranty (I think it was 30 days). I was really taken aback at their lack of ownership with the quality of their product - deflecting and shirking all responsibilities. See their response: [“Hi, Per your email request received we would recommend you to try using a different power cord with the same specifications if you have one available with you, and see if the unit powers on. If you are able to get the unit working with a different power cord then we can arrange to have a replacement power cord sent to you. Also, was the unit previously when working plugged directly into the wall outlet, or was it connected to a surge protector? If the unit still does not work, we request you to consult a professional electronic engineer or electronic repair shop in your area to get the unit’s issue fixed.”] They did send a cord after my wife called them, but record player did not work. As per some of the comments I see, it looks like there is a running theme/known defect with this surge protector (Victrola also queried me on this in response). Anyway - we got sick of the run-around and went and ordered from a different manufacturer. Sometimes, you just have to cut losses and know when you are going down a blind alley with customer support.

A good starter for those with little room
After much research and reports that most other modern suitcase players would wreck the collection of old records I inherited from my grandfather, I bit the bullet and picked up this Victrola as it is supposed to be weighted properly. After a weekend of enjoying some big band, blues, and country classics, these are my observations. 1. Setup was ridiculously easy. Plug it in. Take off the stylus cover and paper on the plate. Turn on the power and bam, you're ready to go. 2. Audio quality is decent. I'm no audiophile, but everything I've put into the player sounds nice and clear. The volume can be turned up quite loud, definitely loud enough to be heard across the house. Over line out, the quality sounds just as good, perhaps a little fuller, but that could just be an acoustic difference between the built in speakers and my noise cancelling headphones. I should note, when streaming to another device, such as a bluetooth speaker, the volume control on the player stops working. You can only adjust the volume through the device being used. If the device does not have volume controls, it will just play at max volume. However, when streaming to the player through bluetooth, I felt that the audio sounds a little boxy. This got better when I maxed the record player's volume and adjusted the audio directly from the device that was streaming instead. 3. Bluetooth is easy enough to set up. Connection to both my headphones and one of my bluetooth speakers was automatic when I put them into pairing mode. See above for concerns about volume control. 4. There is no storage space for extra styluses. A little compartment would be nice. I have mine unattractively taped to the inside of the lid for now. Might upgrade to a small pill box and some velcro near the tone arm. 5. Speaking of lids, the lid desperately needs a hinge lock. Just today I accidentally hit it and slammed it right on my thumb! Can't imagine that would be healthy for a record! 6. The record plate is small, but that's just the nature of the device. However, it doesn't give full support to a full sized record, nor does it fully make contact with the record either, instead it's got 3 raised rubber feet making contact. A hard acrylic slip mat might give it a little more support, which I plan on trying in the near future. 7. Aesthetically, it's very nice looking. I got the brown model, the metal pieces have a nice aged finish. Overall, it has a nice vintage look. However, there are exposed seams along the sides that I could see peeling over time if not properly handled. Furthermore, the two seams on the back edge of the lid do not appear to have been glued completely. Easily fixed, but sloppy manufacturing. All in all, it is a nice little entry level player. Not the best in the world, but it plays records and the sound is enjoyable. Easily portable enough that you could bring it along for a trip. If you are limited on space like I am, where I can't dedicate a specific space for a player, it's super convenient to be able to just pull it out and listen. However, if you plan on a dedicated player in it's own space, there are much more solid options.

easy to set up, move, and sounds good
Great player for what price you pay. Sounds good, easy to set up and play from, and it’s nice that it can close up. For the price you pay it’s all around pretty nice. Sound quality could be better but for buying in speakers pretty good

I am absolutely loving the Victrola VSC-400SB-CNV Bluetooth Canvas Suitcase Turntable! Its vintage design paired with modern features makes it such a cool choice for vinyl enthusiasts like myself. The white canvas finish adds a touch of elegance to any room, and the included stickers for personalization are just so much fun. The Bluetooth connectivity is a game-changer, as it allows me to easily connect my smartphone or other devices and stream music wirelessly. The sound quality is really impressive, delivering rich and warm tones that truly enhance the vinyl listening experience. Plus, the built-in speakers provide excellent audio output, and I don't even need extra speakers in most settings. The portability of this turntable is another big plus. Its suitcase design makes it super easy to carry around, whether I'm taking it to a friend's house for a listening party or just moving it from room to room in my own home. Overall, I can't recommend the Victrola VSC-400SB-CNV Bluetooth Canvas Suitcase Turntable enough!
