this is a great mag base it may not be the strongest in the world not it fits in tight places and the stem is solid and strong also the tool holder is quality starrett stuff. buy the best or suffer like the rest

Well made. Versatile. If you're looking for American made, it's not. For the price it should be, not to say it's not worth it. The comparable Mitutoyo is more; but it's made in Japan, not China.

Cheap china made

Was disappointed that its made in China. Should have read other reviews more carefully. Maganet is VERY weak. Not sure I want to put a $250 indicator on it and have it fall over.
