Little seagull is an excellent tool for college beginners.

A must have to help navigate academia. Sure you can google all of this but even then the googled info isn't really well structured as of this review (2019). This book is fantastic! Short and to the point yet seems to cover most if not all questions regarding how to write in an academic setting. The structure of this book is great, you'll find what you're looking for quick. This book is worth every penny. Trust me, I just gave 1 star to another book required by my class that was awful (Academic Writer), supposedly it taught what this book does but in reality it's an overly stretched out version of this with little to no substance.

I produce corporate training for a Fortune 10 company and I use this handbook all the time! It's very common in Corporate America for commonly misused terms, punctuation, and capitalization to become normal and accepted. That's where it becomes difficult to pick out incorrect usage. If incorrect usage isn't corrected and published, it can be embarrassing. Unsure when to use a comma? Want to figure out what a semi-colon actually is? Want to tell that co-worker that their use of bold text is inappropriate and ruining a beautiful and complicated language? Buy this handbook! This handbook helps me proofread and edit materials without the shadow of a doubt!

Took me a min to view it, as long as you follow the instructions your good

A great book for brushing up on college level writing skills. I use this as an add-on for my argumentative writing class. It has helped me out of a jam a few times.

This booked helped me with any essay that I needed to know how to do for BCC college courses. I needed it for ENG101. Sometimes I regret I didn't buy this one instead of renting it.

The product details state "The third edition adds a new section on editing the errors that matter―and the option to include free access to InQuizitive for Writers, which provides practice in editing the same errors.” but nowhere in the book or on Amazon was there the option to include the free access to InQuizitive. It’s only $15 to purchase but annoying when the book makes it seem like it’s going to be included. Kinda feel like I’ve been ripped off because of that. The book is necessary for a couple of classes but after a quick glance looks like it will be a really useful book for me.

I paid extra for this book to be expedited just because my son needed it for his college class soon. The price was great. I was surprised that the book was so small in size like 5x7. I was only surprised because the college professor wanted this cute tiny book but it's better for my son not to haul a big book to school.

As a university student, I'm always checking back on this type of sources for papers and the like. I have found this manual to be a wonderful companion for any academic writing class. I would 100% recommend to anyone, not just students. It has everything you might need at any point in life.

Great for university

This product was like the description, in content. However, the quality was NOT like the product I had in hand from another student. ( which prompted me to buy the text in the first place.) The binding is creating the pages to hang odd from each other. The paper is way more fragile than the original I borrowed, and the cover page and back were torn at the binding. HOWEVER the “sealed” item had a disclaimer saying Icould not return it if it was opened. The only way I saw these flaws.....? You guessed it, was by opening it. Grrr. NOT worth the money.

As the other person said, which I wish I read the reviews beforehand, you need an access code. you don't find out there's no access code until youve taken off the shrink wrap and can't return it. dumb.

I needed the access code in the book. Had to remove the shrink wrap to see if the card was inside, it wasn't. I can't return the book with the shrink wrap removed and you can't purchase online access outside of the U.S. So now I am screwed. Thanks Amazon.
