I bought these Sennheiser Bluetooth headphones over a year ago and I still think that they are the perfect pair of headphones. They are ideal for anyone out there who needs a great pair of headphones. From a casual user listening to music, to a professional producer working in a studio; these headphones will check off any qualifications you are looking for in a pair of headphones. One of my favorite qualities about these headphones is that they are durable. When I’m looking for products to purchase, I want them to last a long time even if they are put through tough situations. These headphones have traveled with me anywhere I go. They’ve been thrown on my bed after a long day at work, compacted into my backpack when I’m going to class, and the continue to work like a charm. Compared to other headphones on the market, you can really tell that Sennheiser puts a lot of effort into creating a high-quality product that will last a long time. The headband on these headphones is extremely durable yet has slight bend to them. The ear pads have a great cushion to them that fits right around my ears. I could wear these headphones for hours and still be comfortable. Another great thing about these headphones is that they fold up to minimize space when packing them away in a bag. It’s a great plus to have in a pair of headphones. I haven’t even mentioned that they’re wireless! Having Bluetooth built into these headphones only adds to the practicality of them. I’ve never had a problem connecting them to my devices and they always produce great audio. They also don’t force you to use the Bluetooth. The headphones come with an aux cord that can be put on and removed easily. It works great for devices that do not have Bluetooth. The battery on these headphones also lasts a lot longer than I originally thought that they would. Sometimes I could go a whole week without charging them and it doesn’t take any time at all for them to charge. They are a very practical pair of headphones. Overall, I think that these Sennheiser headphones are great. As an avid music listener, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of headphones at a very reasonable price. Comparing these to other brands of headphones that may cost a lot more, they give you great bang for your buck.

So, I wanted a pair of wireless headphones after constantly jerking off my wired ones...which also had openbacked cups so they lacked noise cancelling on noisy field trip buses. The sound of my wired sennheiser pair was excellent as well as the sennheiser earbuds I have (If it isn't obvious enough, I like Sennheiser). So, I went for these because the price was pretty good for the quality the review videos stated. They also stated that the ear padding was rather tight, and I have rather large ears, but I decided to take a risk and buy them anyway. When I put them on, I was pleasantly surprised. I had to jiggle them a little, but then my ears comfortably slid into the cups. The sound quality is fantastic. A friend with a pair of $300 Beats Studio Pro 3 wireless headphones agreed with me that they sound better. The sound quality really is amazing. On all points, highs, lows, mids, and bass, the sounds are crisp and clear. The controls on the right ear cup are convenient and are small so I never accidentally bump them. The wire that they come with is useful for when I am watching shows on netflix and don't want to worry about the battery life, which is 25 hours total. I usually only have to charge them every 2 weeks because I almost exclusively use the cable when I watch things. The folding ability is also very nice, so they fit in my backpack very nicely. I actually liked them enough that I bought my mom a pair for christmas, and she loves them too. The call quality is...meh. When calling with them via discord, people say that I don't sound very good. When I receive calls from my actual phone call app, the person on the other end usually says I sound fine. They are also pretty comfortable with glasses on too, though I don't usually have mine on when I use them. I highly recommend these. Update one year later: Still got 'em, they still work, and are still awesome. Still highly recommend.

I’m not exactly an audiophile; I am a 30 year-old professional singer who spends a lot of time listening to music (predominantly historically informed Baroque, hip-hop, and prog metal), and recently I’ve started trying to improve my listening experiences with higher quality equipment, on a typical musician’s limited budget. When I bought the Audioengine A2 speakers for my computer a couple years ago, *everything* instantly sounded better, more detailed, richer; music that I already knew well came to life in new ways. So, that experience definitely got me hooked on how good equipment can make music sound better, and I was hoping to replicate that magic when I bought these Sennheiser 4.40bt headphones. I prefer Bluetooth headphones because I usually wear my headphones when I’m out and about in the city or on the subway, and I just can’t be bothered with a cord – if there is a sacrifice in the audio quality versus corded headphones these days, I think it’s too small for me to really discern, and the freedom of having no cord is fantastic. On the other hand, it does mean you’re going to pay more for something decent: I did extensive research before settling on this model (on sale for $100), and I also considered the 4.50btc (same cans but with ANC for $150), the PXC 550 (Sennheiser’s top-of-the-line Bluetooth ANC cans for $300), the Bose Quietcomfort 35 (which everybody seems to agree are the best around, $350), and the many, many over-ear headphones by weird no-name Chinese companies that you can find on Amazon in the $60-70 range, all of which have hundreds of suspicious 5-star reviews, and many of which also seem to have ANC. (If you google for a real review, not on Amazon, of any of these popular headphones, you will get the lowdown on what they're really like.) The temptation to go for something in this category was strong because I just didn’t have $300 to drop on headphones, but in the end I am very glad that I swallowed my pride and got a more entry-level product by a reputable company. After some initial disappointment and some software tweaking and getting to know them, I’m very happy with the Sennheiser 4.40bt. My first listening experience was a letdown. I tried them on, listened to representative favorite albums from several genres, and came away with the same complaint in each. I’m not well equipped to provide verbal descriptions of my complaints, but I would say that everything sounded tinny, two-dimensional, and, surprisingly, not even really loud enough. I would have to crank the volume up all the way to the top to be able to listen to anything classical in the subway, and I worried that maybe I’d made a mistake not going for the noise-canceling model. Sennheiser suggests that you use their proprietary equalizer app, Captune, with these headphones, so I decided to give that a shot, and it certainly did improve my experience. The presets for classical and rock alone pretty much made everything sound completely different (i.e. better) regardless of genre. But Captune is an annoying, finicky app – I’m a Tidal subscriber and I was excited that Captune allegedly plays nice with Tidal, but even this turned out to be a disappointment: you end up having to navigate your Tidal library through the Captune interface, which is unintuitive and doesn’t allow you to access your offline albums. And if there’s a way that you can make your Captune EQ settings apply to all the sound on your phone instead of just what you play through the Captune player app, I wasn’t able to figure it out. This led me to find a third-party equalizer app, of which there are many. I paid $1.99 for an app called Equalizer FX Pro on the Google Play store, and this provided me with all the benefits I’d experienced with Captune, but also with the ability to use the equalizer when you’re using whatever app to play music (in my case Tidal), plus a loudness enhancer which has solved my aforementioned “not loud enough” problem. Basically, with the addition of this app, the 4.40bt have become a set of headphones that I feel very good about having paid $100 for. Certainly, I wish that no additional software were necessary for that to be the case, but at this point I’ll take it. Other things: battery life of the headphones is great, they last much longer than the cheap Archeer over-ear Bluetooth cans I was replacing. Pairing etc. is easy. I do have a complaint about the comfort of wearing them: the band doesn’t feel great on the top of my head, perhaps because it isn’t padded thickly enough. This has become less of an issue as I’ve played around with different ways to position that band, but they could be more comfortable. The pads over the ears are great, no complaint with how those feel. Pros: at $100, great value for audiophile quality (some work with an equalizer required) that most of the premium Bluetooth headphones will charge $300+ for. Block out noise pretty well without noise canceling. Comfortable fit over the ears. Conservative but attractive style. Nice build quality. Don’t turn on by accident in my bag and drain the battery like the ones I used to use. Cons: I found that in order to get great sound you have to use an equalizer, which adds an extra step to the listening experience but is worth it. Band a little uncomfortable on the top of my head. Four stars. Are my standards too high? Debatable. Obviously all the cheapo headphones in the $60-70 range do not deserve to have so many five star ratings, but they get them either because they’re fake reviews or because people who buy those headphones end up being pleasantly surprised by how much bang they got for their buck. Fair enough. Maybe I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t get something perfect when I spent my hard-earned $100, and maybe that is an unrealistic expectation. Maybe in a few years I’ll be in a place where I can drop $300 and get “the best.” If and when that happens, I would consider Sennheiser as a valid rival to Bose, but I would like to try them out first… hopefully by then they will have sorted out their equalizer problems (meaning either you won’t need an equalizer to make things sound good, or the Captune will become some effortless thing that automatically makes them sound like they should regardless of what media player you’re using).

Look, these don't have active noise cancellation, and for that you pay $200 less! If you need these for travel, just look elsewhere. They also don't have strong bass, but they have very good bass - at a level many of us can appreciate more. If you listen to dubstep, look elsewhere. If that is so issue for you, and you are looking specifically for wireless headphones, just buy these. Just do it. That are worth $500 to me and honestly are crisper and cleaner than many headphones I've tried at those prices. I believe the main reason is the extremely low impedance. The bluetooth codec is the best and thus you do not compromise for going wireless. The microphone is good but not stereo, and it may want to use the mic built into your device if your not careful, but I have no complaints. Lastly, they are THE MOST COMFORTABLE headphones I have EVER worn, and as the title says, I wear these for HOURS strait EVERY day, and my only discomfort is my ears getting warm if it is a hot day or I am exercising. The cable included will improve the quality (primarily the space), but this will only be noticeable to audiophiles. If you don't need active noise cancellation or heavy bass, BUY THESE HEADPHONES.

I am a bit of an audiophile and I never thought I'd get into the bluetooth craze, but I actually love it! Much more convenient than wired headphones and it's more aesthetically pleasing. Bluetooth headphones have come a long way over the year and as always Sennheiser sets the bar. Sound quality: Nice tight base, clear mids with clear treble that is still smooth and fatigue free. Even though I hold high expectations for Sennheiser these sound much better than I thought they would. Build quality - It's plastic, but it feels like a nice smooth quality plastic. Not cheap by anyways and the tolerance points seem well planned and these shouldn't ever break unless you purposely try to damage them. Comfort - Like most headphones the first time you put them on there is a bit of a clamp, but it gets loose and comfortable in no time. The ear pads aren't "over ear" or "around ear" by any means - I have average size ears and these are on ear headphones, but they are very comfortable I am very satisfied with these headphones. They kill the more expensive bose and beats headphones in sound quality and I tried the sony xb series and those were too base heavy and sounded lower quality overall. I haven't tried the sony flagship, but the touch feature wouldn't work well for me as I tend to use headphones in bed a lot and with those if a bed sheet or pillow or something rubs against the side it will play/pause/skip/etc. I'm not a fan of active noise canceling as it makes me feel dizzy and in general I feel like closed cans block out enough sound without active noise canceling. So with these you get pay for pure audio quality and even though they aren't hyped as much as bose and beats through social vanity, anybody who knows audio can agree that these sound much better. These are easily the best BT headphones to buy right now and I doubt anything will de-throne them anytime soon. The only thing I don't like is that there is a beep every time you change the volume and you can crank up the volume on the headphones and then turn turn volume sync off in bluetooth settings to control the volume on your phone without any beeps, but when you turn the headphones off and then turn them on again later, you have to crank up the volume on the headphones again as it goes beep beep beep beep and that's pretty annoying.

I missed several key points about this headphone when I bought it (even though I went to Sennheiser's website and read user reviews), so I'll start with the cons first (as I wouldn't have even ordered these if I had known the following two cons): CONS: 1. These honestly should be called on the ear headphones. I don't have anywhere near big ears, but I imagine most people's ears are bigger than 31cm (less than an inch and half). This is the first time in 40 years that I bought an "over the ear" headphone that didn't easily fit around my ears. Go ahead and measure your ears from from to back with a ruler, and odds are they are bigger than 31cm. 2. It does not use a standard 3.5mm cable. The side that plugs into your phone/computer is 3.5mm. The side that plugs into the headphones is a 2.5mm TRRS plug. Just look at the options on Amazon if you try to replace it because the included one is too short or gets damaged. Sennheiser makes no mention of this on their site, simply stating it comes with an audio cable. PROS: They sound great and are very light, with good noise isolation. If Sennheiser only made the inner ear dimensions a little bit wider, and used a standard 3.5mm audio connection, it would have been rated a solid 5 stars. ***EDIT: May 10, 2018*** I just couldn't get used to these things on my ears, and I was ready to return them. However, I decided I would try to find bigger replacement ear pads first, and I came across a brand called 'Wicked Cushions'. They offered a replacement, but I was unsure if it would fit (they surprisingly didn't provide any dimensions). The good news it fit nicely, and these headphones are way more comfortable having the earpads actually go around the ear. The bad news is it really reduced the amount of bass. So if you go this route, you will have to download the free Sennheiser EQ app, and really crank up the bass amount. Purchased these about 3 weeks ago. I haven't had a pair of over-ear headphones in years so I didn't want to break the bank on my first new pair if it turned out over-ear is no longer my thing. First off these over-perform for the price, the sound is phenomenal, the battery life is very solid, they're comfortable although not necessarily stylish. The bluetooth pairing has worked perfectly for me with one exception. All that being said I have been a Bose man for years and was looking into the QuietComfort II, but they're 3.5x the price of these and like I said if it turned out I hated having over-ears again I didn't want to be out that chunk of change. About two weeks after I bought these I was over at a friends and picked up his pair of QuietComfort II's, paired them to my phone and I was blown away, I'm not sure if they were 3.5 times better than these but they were more comfortable, lighter and the sound was noticeably better. This is when I had my first pairing problem with the Sennheiser, it was like they knew I was cheating on them with a better pair of headphones, as soon as I disconnected from the Bose and tried to repair with these they started acting finicky and cutting in and out. I had to go into my phone and delete the bose from the remembered devices before these would reconnect correctly to my phone. Talk about being petty. I'm going to rock with these for the foreseeable future but if I end up having a little bit of cash burning a hole in my pocket Im going with Bose without a doubt next time.

They look pretty good. They are very comfortable! (my ears are 2.25" tall and 1.1" wide and though the inner dimensions look small, they got my ears well. I'm fine with the clamping force, my wife isn't, so I guess that's subjective. The weight of the headphones is not an issue either) The price is right! They sound well balanced and to my liking. (I'm not a bass head. So I prefer a balanced sound. If you're looking for bass, grow up and get in to listening to good quality audio files or just get another bassy headset) Sound isolation is good. But insufficient for the NYC subways, unfortunately. The Bluetooth connection is reliable. The call audio quality is great! And the battery life took me by surprise. (I know the box says 25 hours, but I've been listening to them for ~14 hours and actually ended up putting in a tech support ticket with Sennheiser to ask why my Pixel2 and iPhone7 showed 100% battery even after 11 hours of playing music. I expected an issue with the headphones. It looks like they report battery life on blocks of 10%. At the listening volumes I use, I got 14 hours of listening by using 10% of the battery. I don't expect this to be linear or sustain over time, but this is a great start). The packaging is nice too (if you're in to that) I, for one am impressed! Good job Sennheiser! Update 2/1/2018: I ended up replacing the ones I got before. They never reported the battery accurately to my Pixel2 or iPhone 7. Not that the build quality was in question for me, but the new ones seem to have a better swivel mechanism. Same great sound. The battery never dropped below 90% and yet, the headphones played a message suggesting that the battery life was about 50%. So on the new ones, Battery reporting still to be seen. I'll find out in a few days I suppose. I might drop another star in case battery reporting over Bluetooth seems to be a systemic issue with these headphones. After all, visually, that's the only battery indicator I have. Update 3/12/2019: One year on, i love these headphones. The sound is better than most headphones I've used. The battery life still wows me. I charge them once and they last me ~3 to 4 weeks of use. I listen to podcasts or music 5 days a week, twice a day and for an hour each time. The one issue I'd like to report is the amount of background noise that passes through on phone calls. I of course, am well isolated from all the ambient noise surroubding me. But, eeryone I'm on the phone with with these headphones on, complains they can barely hear me over the ambient noise (trains and city traffic). I've now verified this with both, my Pixel 2 and the iPhone 7. No setting changes have helped yet.

Etwas schwerer als ein JBL BT 55 - aber durch das sehr gut gepolsterte Kopfband und die extrem weichen Ohrpolster ergibt sich ein toller Tragekomfort. Die inneren Ohrmuscheln kamen mir erst zu klein im Vergleich zu meinen anderen Kopfhörern (H7,Fidelio X1 und E55 BT) vor, das Gefühl gab sich aber rasch. Selbst bei schnellen Bewegungen bleibt der 4.40 an seinem Platz. Die Sennheiser Kopfhörer waren mir immer als relativ hell und sehr informativ in Erinnerung. Nach dem Lesen einiger sehr guter Rezis habe ich es aber doch mal versucht, da der E 55 BT nicht über aptx verfügt. Und siehe da, der Klang ist echt beeindruckend!! Ich möchte ihn als Schnittmenge zwischen meinen H7 und Bose Soundsports Wireless charakterisieren. Nicht ganz so gut in der Hochtonauflösung aber fast das gute Pfund im Bass, welches nicht zu Lasten der Sauberkeit geht. Als guten Vergleichstest empfehle ich gut abgemischte Filmszenen in Restaurants, wo man auch das Gespräch am Tisch ganz hinten links mitbekommt. Bei Kopfhörern ohne aptx geht das voll unter, bei schlechteren mit gibt es nur ein Nebenrauschen. Da die 4.40BT die Geräusche durch die tollen Ohrpolster nach innen und außen sehr gut abschirmen, habe ich meinen perfekten Reisebegleiter gefunden. Bei sehr kaltem Wetter müssen jetzt sogar des Öfteren die Bose Soundsports zu Hause bleiben. Für ca.150 Euro im Bezug auf Klang und Wertigkeit sind die Kopfhörer eine klare Empfehlung.... Da gerne verglichen wird hier die Klangliste meiner BT Kopfhörer: 0,8. Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 over ear, die Mischung aus H4 und bt 4.40, perfekt ausbalanciert, Bass schön straff und ein perfekter leichter Tragekomfort... 1. BO H7 - die absolute Ausgewogenheit, perlig und trotzdem tiefreichend mit gutem Tragekomfort 1,5. BO H4 ähnlich H7 aber leichter und höherer Anpressdruck für unterwegs....(mehr Bass durch Anpressdruck) 2. SH 4.40 - etwas direkter als der H7, strafferer Sitz , dichter gegen Aussengeräusche, Bass etwas schwächer als H4 2,5 sony mdr 1000x guter Tragekomfort, obwohl recht massiv, NC gut, Klang an sich toll, aber irgendwie nicht "klar" genug für mich, schwierig zu erläutern... keine klare Abgrenzung von Frequenzen, daher durchaus druckvoll, aber verschiedene Bassfabrikate konnte ich nicht unterscheiden, bei M2 und H7 kabelgebunden möglich, meine Frau meint es ist ein typischer Tecknohörer und findet die Gesamtklangwucht super, so viel also zu subjektiven Rezensionen 3. PX 550 sehr schön leicht aber sehr vordergründiger HT-Bereich, schlechte Verstellmöglichkeit-rutscht und daher zurück.... 3,5. Bose Soundlink - bester Tragekomfort, Klang aber wenig differenziert, mein Favorit für Sport ab 5* Grad und darunter.... 3. JBL everest 700 - tolle Ohrpolster-aber auch sehr groß.. der Klang gut, aber neben dem guten Bass nicht sehr differenziert 4. JBL BT 55 - sehr guter Bass, die Höhen aber etwas zu blechern - wunderbar leicht und nur 96 Euro, kein aptx 5. JBL 50 BT - krass direkter Knallklang (Slayer stehen live...), unakzeptabler Tragekomfort und schlechte Verarbeitung - irgendwo dazwischen BOSE Soundsports als In Ear mit toller Bühne und fettem 80 Hz-Bumms..... Gemäß der Platzierung ist der 4.40 der absolute Preis/Leistungssieger und trotz Regen, Sport und Runterfallen immer noch gut drauf.... Fröhliches Kaufen!!!!!

Son sin duda los mejores auriculares que he tenido, poseen unas prestaciones, una calidad de audio y una construcción excelentes. La calidad de audio es impresionante destacando mucho sus bajos que son espectaculares, en Windows destacan mucho sobretodo activando la función de sonido espacial y en Android si el teléfono cuenta con soporte APTX. En cuanto a comfort es muy bueno, pesan poco y las almohadillas están muy bien acolchadas, he llegado a estar alrededor de 5h seguidas con ellos puestos y sin ningún problema. Quizas la aureola al principio por su diseño molesta un poco pero con el tiempo te acostumbras a ella. La batería es mas que excelente con 3-4h de uso diario solo tengo que cargarlos una vez a la semana y a pesar de llevar ya un año con ellos no noto degradación alguna de la vida de la batería y en caso de que se agote el añadido del cable es de gran ayuda ya que permiten utilizarlos incluso con la batería a 0, eso sí ni el micrófono ni los botones funcionan con el cable. La cancelación de ruido a pesar de ser pasiva es muy buena, he llegado a usarlos en zonas bastante bulliciosas y aún así han enmascarado bastante bien el sonido. He de añadir que a pesar de tener las orejas bastante grandes me caben perfectamente dentro de la almohadilla. Y por último la construcción es una maravilla, son muy solidos y resistentes, el peso está muy bien equilibrado y el diseño es excelente, literalmente he tenido cascos que costaban más del doble y daban la sensación de ser mucho mas baratos que estos. Sin duda una de las mejores compras que he hecho nunca, y los recomiendo encarecidamente a todo aquel que busque unos auriculares de calidad con un precio contenido ya que seguro sobrepasarán sus expectativas y por mucho.

These headphones are simply amazing! What a product by Sennheiser - you've to try it to believe it. Some of my observations are below: 1. Sound quality is beyond amazing. It accurately reproduces the sounds as was composed/mixed by the music artist/sound designer in their studio. I've noticed that Sony and JBL headphones generally add more bass, thereby altering the music altogether. These headphones output music clearly across all frequencies with no bias. You can use your music player equalizer to alter the sounds, if you so wish. 2. The cups provide a good seal against your ear and head, thereby drowning out ambient noise. Once you've got music playing (especially rock or EDM), then you're in a different (and beautiful) world altogether. 3. The cups themselves can be swiveled around, allowing you to adjust the angle as per comfort. However, prolonged use can get a bit uncomfortable. I needed to adjust them slightly every 30-45 minutes. But sometimes, one angle could be so good that I didn't feel any stress for 2 hours straight! Be careful, it'll get stuffy in warm weather. 4. The battery life is out of this world. It says 25 hours and it actually delivers. Analog cable (3.5 mm audio jack) is provided for this headphone, but I've not tried to see how the headphones perform when connected via cable. 5. One thing the user manual doesn't mention is how to connect to a device via Bluetooth. First time is quite straightforward - you switch on the headphone (long press the power button for 4 seconds) and search in your device's Bluetooth settings. But once paired, connecting it to a different device in future is not so intuitive. You need to switch off the headphones, then switch it on again by long pressing the power button for 6 seconds. This time, it can pair with other devices. This needs to be done whenever you are connecting it to a different device. If you are using the same device, then the headphones automatically search for it when switched on. Hope this was useful. Seriously, the headphones are brilliant, especially for the price range. However, it will be useless if the audio file quality isn't upto the mark. I usually play 320 Kbps mp3 files (CD quality) audio and I wouldn't suggest anything below 256 Kbps, else it won't do justice to these headphones. It'll be like driving a Ferrari on pothole riddled roads with heavy traffic.

Je suis très satisfait de ces écouteurs. Je les ai achetés sans vouloir dépenser trop d'argent pour eux et je suis très satisfaite du résultat. Dès le moment où je les ai tenus dans ma main, ils se sont sentis comme de la qualité avec un design simple et discret. Dès le moment où je les ai mis, ils se sont sentis à l'aise. Ils restent en place malgré le fait que je penche la tête vers l'avant pendant que je prends des notes au téléphone - ils restent aussi en place pendant les travaux ménagers - ils ne changent pas du tout. J'entends les instruments individuels qui sont joués. C'est merveilleux. Je pense que la qualité est meilleure avec Bluetooth qu'avec le câble audio - peut-être parce que le convertisseur analogique-numérique dans les écouteurs est meilleur que celui de mon iPhone. Bien que le microphone soit intégré à l'une des oreillettes, la qualité du son sortant est également bonne. La portée Bluetooth est également bonne - je peux me déplacer dans tout mon (petit) appartement en laissant le téléphone derrière moi sans problème d'abandon ou de qualité. Je n'ai eu aucun problème pour apparier et basculer entre mes iPhones et mon iPad. Les commandes sont faciles à utiliser - elles sont toutes sur le côté droit autour de la jante pour que vous puissiez les utiliser avec votre pouce droit. La seule préoccupation, c'est que celles-ci ne sont pas des antibruit - la version antibruit en valait peut-être la peine après tout, mais je vais devoir les porter dans d'autres trains et d'autres avions pour prendre une décision à ce sujet. De plus, si vous utilisez le câble audio (par exemple dans un avion), les commandes de l'oreillette ne sont pas transmises à l'iPhone. Dans l'ensemble, je suis ravi de ces produits et je suis tellement heureux de les avoir choisis.
