Remo Ambassador Hazy Snare Side Drumhead, 14"

I like these drum heads for their durability in a marching band setting.....Kids can be rough on an instrument. I've seen some reviews say their snare sounded better with this head....To me? ....This head allows marching snares to be loud and not echo as much....the sound is crisp and not hollow....It will give you the "cha-cha-cha" sound....be sure to tune your drum to a D and make sure your snare wires are touching the bottom head and you will get the sound you're looking for. Most drummers don't know how to tune their snare drum.....go to youtube to learn how. This head is excellent on a marching snare- FFX Pearl. It lasts forever!!!! It's built great! It can take a licking and keep on ticking!! For the price- you can't beat the quality and durability of a Remo. They are worth every last penny you spend!!!!!

Excellent snare side head for all types of drums and music. Remember: This is NOT the Batter (top) side head, it is not meant to be played with sticks. What can you say. This head does what it says. It is a good fit for most brands of drums and provides the snare snappy resonation require for just about any type of music. I have used these heads for many years on Gretsch, Ludwig, Rogers and Slingerland snares playing Rock, R&B, Blues and some Jazz. Well constructed. I have never had a problem with the head.

I play rock music and have a YouTube channel. Although I have to muffle these a little bit they sound great.

Although im a Evans guy now, i will always use remo when i feel like it and this head is one of the few i'll use from remo. when cranked, gives a nice pop that some drummers like me look for. i had a black suede snare side on the bottom and it came to life. its not coated so you cant be a heavy hitter i managed to put a hole in the top of it. but i think this head is very underrated because it gives such a great sound but no one talks about it. most remo users go with the coated ambassador and other snare heads. i recommend this head to any drummer that is a remo user and wants a different look to your snare head. its also single ply which allows the pop that ppl want

The snare side of my snare drum broke about a week and a half before a show and I didn't have a backup, so I ordered this ASAP. This was easy to tune and break in and I love the way the snare cracks!

Replacing drumheads is an overlooked, easy, and affordable upgrade to make a drum kit feel like new. I am very pleased with the sound of my snare with this as the side drumhead (bottom one). I also got a new snare wire, and batter head, but this sound is fantastic.

Buscaba un parche resonante para la parte inferior (snare side) de una caja de 14 pulgadas que fuera capaz de transmitir con total fidelidad la vibración hacia los hilos de la bordonera, garantizando una respuesta articulada y sin retardos. El Remo Ambassador Hazy/Clear (referencia SA-0114-00) es el estándar absoluto de la industria por razones técnicas de peso. Puntos clave de mi análisis: Espesor ultrafino específico para resonante: A diferencia de los parches Ambassador para la parte superior (que son de 10 milésimas), este modelo específico para el lado de la bordonera está fabricado con una sola capa de film de Mylar de tan solo 3 milésimas de espesor. Esta finura es fundamental para que el parche reaccione de forma instantánea a la menor columna de aire generada por el parche batidor, activando la bordonera de inmediato. Sensibilidad dinámica excepcional: Permite capturar todo el rango de intensidades de la interpretación. Desde las notas fantasma (ghost notes) más sutiles y suaves cerca del borde hasta los acentos más contundentes en el centro, la respuesta de la bordonera se mantiene siempre nítida, definida y articulada, evitando ese molesto sonido emborronado o tardío. Claridad tímbrica y brillo: Al ser transparente, aporta un componente de agudos muy limpio y cristalino al sonido general de la caja. Ayuda a que el instrumento corte perfectamente a través de las frecuencias medias de las guitarras en el local de ensayo o en el escenario, proporcionando ese "crack" tan buscado y necesario en estilos contundentes como el rock o el punk. Facilidad de asentamiento y afinación: El aro y el material asientan a la perfección en la cama de la bordonera (snare bed) del casco de 14". Esto facilita enormemente una afinación homogénea y precisa, permitiendo tensarlo al gusto (generalmente alto para obtener una respuesta de bordonera seca y rápida) sin temor a que el parche ceda o pierda estabilidad estructural de forma prematura. Aspectos a tener en cuenta: Al tratarse de un parche de tan solo 3 milésimas de espesor, está diseñado única y exclusivamente para ser usado como parche inferior resonante. Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe golpearse con las baquetas, ya que se rompería de inmediato. Al instalar la bordonera sobre él, conviene asegurarse de que quede perfectamente centrada para evitar tensiones desiguales que puedan arrugar el Mylar. Conclusión: Un componente técnico indispensable y de rendimiento predecible. Cambiar un parche resonante viejo o desgastado por este Ambassador transforma la respuesta de cualquier caja de 14", devolviéndole la articulación, la sensibilidad y el brillo que se necesitan tanto en el estudio como en los directos más exigentes.
