After 2 years of manually cleaning my pool with no screen and an oak, it was time. Love it!
Updates below: 2 year pool owner and weekly cleaning is work as we have a big oak hanging over from our neighbors yard and we do not have a screen. I'd spend at least an hour weekly to manually pick up the debris that drops to the bottom. We tried the kreepy krawler but after 11 months, the hose went bad and was going to cost $60 to replace. Even the kreepy krawler was work getting that in the pool and hooked up to the skimmer. Finally decided to bite the bullet and so happy we did. I've literally only used our Dolphin once but it did exactly everything we hoped for. I had the box opened and robot in the pool in about 15 minutes. It picked up every single leaf and acorn that was sitting on the floor. It goes right over our bottom pool drain with no issue. It climbed my wall to the water line and scrubbed it very good. I even found it working on my little built in bench in the pool. It automatically stopped after the 2 hour cycle and was super wasy to remove, drain the water and hose down the basket. The basket also picked up white silt like a champ. I added a few photos of the unboxing and of the basket when i removed it to hose down. I didnt need all the bells and whistles of the big boy as I will be taking it out of the pool after each use. My pool is only about 25 feet across so the power line on this is also perfect. I see it up in the middle and it has more than enough line to run free. I will update this review in the future with updates as I typically do. Update: one month later. I use it 1-2 times per week. It cleans better than I could have expected and climbs to the water line better to clean better than advertised. The cord tangled one time on the track and the vacuum stopped until I fixed it. That was good to know. It does concern me a bit that the cord tangled that one time and each time it seems to wrinkle up on me. Almost as if the vacuum turns more in one direction. The basket can be a pain to clean. I get wet everytime I hose it down. On the flip side, the basket picks up sand and silt in addition to every big particle. I need to find a fix for the cable. I think some have suggested a pool noodle. Aside from the cable and cleaning the basket, I love all about this guy. He definitely lives up to his reputation. I am not missing any extra features that come with the more advanced vacuum. Almost 3 year update: Still loving almost everything about this. I keep it in the pool almost all day, everyday during the summer as our neighbors have trees that drop leaves and debris in my pool. I know most dont recommend it but I do it anyway knowing that I'll take some time off of the life. It's a pain removing, hosing down and wrapping the cable up every single day, especially for someone on the go so I choose to leave it in May through probably November and remove it occasionally to clean, when we swim and a few others reasons. The cable tangles frequently and I am about to replace it. That is my fault. For the first 2 years, when it wrinkled, I would lay it out in the hot sun and it work relax it. After almost 3 years, it doesnt relax for long. As soon as I put it back in, it tangles quickly. In addition, the part of the cable that stays in the chlorine is starting to deteriorate a bit and some blue flakes come off. Normal in chlorine. I am buying a new one for around $150 and replacing. It fairly easy. A couple of months ago, I had to replace the tracks for the first time due to wear and tear. I've also replaced the black brushes on the bottom. Very inexpensive and easy to replace as well. This month, I thought my gear or power was messed up. Turned out one of the rear wheels messed up and I replaced it. I almost paid over $100 to diagnose but I decided to play around and saw it was just a wheel that the teeth werent caching the gear so it stopped moving. Super easy $15 fix. Just need a small flathead and a regular philips. I've come to learn a lot about this little guy and have gotten comfortable taking it apart a bit. It's like a car. You have to maintain the parts from time to time. Dont think you will pay for this once and it will work until it dies with no maintenance. You have to maintain it and it will treat you well for many years until it eventually dies. Get familiar with it, watch Youtube videos on how to replace commonly worn parts and it will be good to you.

Makes Pool Cleaning So Much Easier
The Dolphin Nautilus CC has been a great investment for keeping the pool clean. It was simple to set up—just plug it in, place it in the pool, and let it do the work. It does an excellent job picking up dirt, leaves, and other debris while scrubbing the pool walls, which saves a lot of time compared to manual cleaning. The top-load filter is easy to remove and rinse out after each use, making maintenance quick and hassle-free. It climbs the walls well and leaves the pool looking much cleaner after every cycle. If you have an above-ground or in-ground pool up to 33 feet, this robotic cleaner is a huge time-saver. It's reliable, easy to use, and well worth the investment for anyone who wants to spend more time enjoying their pool instead of cleaning it.

Just Stopped Working After Less Than 2 Weeks
I am partial to Dolphin products. Why? I had a DX3 I bought in 2013 and it lasted nearly 14 years! The thing was a beast and cleaned the floors, climbed the walls, and even scrubbed the waterline in our 27' above ground pool. Then I did lots of research and landed on this model - The Nautilus CC. The Dolphin website and their 'Help me choose a robot' finder even suggested the Nautilus CC. Upon opening the box, the top blue portion of the robot was discolored. After about a week of light use, a burn/heat mark appeared just above the Dolphin logo on the front of the unit. Then, instead of going through the 2-Hour Cycle, it would shut off after less than an hour. After the second week of use and troubleshooting, I found a spring at the bottom of our pool and the until would run longer than 15 minutes. Then, the power supply just stopped working. I called Maytronics to go through their warranty and what a hassle. They were nice enough and offered to replace the unit. Not with the same one, because they stated that the Nautilus CC was no longer available (even though it's available on their website). They wanted to replace it with a cheaper model (about $40-$50 cheaper) and did not offer anything back in return. I questioned them refunding the difference, but they would not, claiming it had a longer warranty. The same model they offered is available, so I am returning this and will buy the other model and save myself the money. I'm just into giving my money away. It's just not right - especially in today's economy. Buyer beware on this model.

Best pool vacuum we have owned
We have owned our pool for 15 years and used many pool vacuums. Cordless units were the worst, as they didn’t have enough power to clean well. Also I like to run our pool vacuum when I shock the pool for several hours, to evenly distribute the mix and prevent burning of the pool finish. Cordless units don’t have enough battery life for that. We have tried most all pool vacuums (booster pump powered, battery and corded) and most manufacturers; however this Dolphin Nautilus works AMAZING and has our pool looking news again. The filters are great and are high capacity (fall day clean ups) and its simple to operate. Would highly recommend this unit to others.

Perfectly good with one caution
This review based upon running the dolphin 4 times when getting pool ready for summer. This is perfectly good for what it does. Here are a couple observations: 1- listing says it is good for pools up to 33 feet long … BUT … cable between the power unit and the robot is 39 feet long and the instructions say to keep the power unit 12 feet away from the water. This leaves 27 feet of cable and if the robot goes down 3 to 10 feet under water there is no way it will reach 33 feet to the other end if the power unit is at an end of the pool. While putting the power unit in the middle of the pool would fix this my AC outlets are at both ends so that doesn’t work for me. Instructions also say not to use an extension cord. A cable between power unit and robot would have been a better design. 2- the top loading basket is MUCH MUCH easier to remove and clean than traditional bottom loading cloth pouches. This alone makes this robot worth considering. That said, the basket isn’t as big as it looked in the promotional photos. But, I had a fair amount of dirt and leaves on the bottom of the pool and the basket was plenty big to pick them up. 3- it picked up dirt in one pass but a complete single leaf was a 50;50 chance of getting picked up even after a couple passes. Ultimately, though, it got the leaves. 4- this is a very simple machine. With a reasonable level of do it yourself skills I’m betting one could repair it yourself. Given the (fairly ridiculously) high prices of these things and their spare parts that might be a consideration. 5- has a tendency to do a wheelie occasionally so that it is not in contact with the bottom of the pool and, thus, momentarily doesn’t suck anything up. But it still cleaned everything eventually so probably no matter. 6- Even though I think these things are way overpriced, I’ve manually vacuumed the pool the old fashioned way and I’m simply not interested in doing that. I’ll use the robot to do it. And that’s why they can get me to pay these high prices.

Still Cleaning Great After 2+ Years of Regular Use
I've been using this Dolphin Nautilus CC robotic pool cleaner for a little over two years in my 10,000 gal gunite pool, and overall I've been very happy with it. The biggest advantage is how easy it is to use. I simply drop it in the pool, let it run its cleaning cycle, and empty the filter basket afterward. The filter is easy to access and clean, and the robot consistently picks up dirt, leaves, and other debris from both the floor and walls of the pool. The cleaner has no trouble climbing and cleaning the walls of my pool, which helps reduce the amount of manual scrubbing required. However, it has trouble cleaning the pool steps, so I still need to brush those manually from time to time. After more than two years of regular use, the unit itself is still working well. The only maintenance issue I've encountered is that the floating power cord is beginning to show wear and will likely need replacement soon. The cord also tends to develop tangles during operation, although this has not noticeably affected the cleaner's performance or cleaning coverage. Pros: Reliable cleaning performance Easy-to-clean filter basket Climbs and cleans pool walls effectively Simple operation with minimal maintenance Still functioning well after more than two years of use Cons: Power cord tangles frequently Cannot clean pool steps Replacement cord may be needed after a few years of regular use Overall, this has been a dependable robotic pool cleaner that has significantly reduced the time I spend maintaining my pool. Even after two years of ownership, I would purchase it again.

MUST HAVE FOR THE PERFECT LOOKING POOL!
An absolute must-have for keeping your pool as clean as it can be. We employ a pool cleaning company that comes once a week. However, windy days can make our pool look less than perfect. This is where the dolphin really shines. We run it every day and it keeps the pool looking cleaner than it ever has. It's worth the money...

Good Cleaner, But Frequent Clogging and Durability Issues
We have been using the Dolphin Nautilus CC Automatic Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner for approximately 10 months. Overall, it has done a good job keeping our pool clean and is relatively easy to operate. The wall-climbing capability and top-load filter access are convenient features, and when the unit is functioning properly, it does an effective job of picking up debris and maintaining the pool. However, there are several issues that have prevented me from giving it a 5-star rating. The filter system tends to clog very easily, requiring frequent cleanings to maintain performance. Additionally, the handle on the filter strainer broke during normal use, which was disappointing considering the product's price point. One of the more frustrating aspects is that the cleaner will often stop cleaning after a relatively short period of operation due to clogging, even though our pool is professionally serviced every week and does not have significant debris buildup. Given the clean condition of the pool, I expected the unit to be able to run longer without interruption. Despite these concerns, the Dolphin Nautilus CC still performs adequately and has helped reduce manual pool maintenance. With improved durability and a filter system that is less prone to clogging, this would be an excellent product. As it stands, I would recommend it with some reservations.

Perfect job
The Dolphin Nautilus CC has completely transformed how I maintain my pool. It’s incredibly easy to use—just drop it in, press start, and it gets to work immediately. The cleaning performance is excellent: it picks up fine debris, leaves, and dirt with no effort on my part, and the pool floor looks spotless every time. What impressed me most is how efficiently it navigates the pool. It doesn’t get stuck, it climbs walls with confidence, and the filtration basket is simple to remove and clean. The build quality feels solid and reliable, and the unit runs quietly compared to other cleaners I’ve owned. This robotic cleaner has saved me hours of manual work and keeps the pool consistently swim‑ready. If you’re looking for a dependable, hassle‑free automatic pool cleaner, the Dolphin Nautilus CC is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
