EnerVision 3D Printer EV160, FDM, Stainless Steel, Silver, 2.5" LCD Screen, Build Size 6.3" x 6.3" x 6.3", PLA/ABS/Hips/Flexible/Wood/Nylon, 0.05-0.3mm Precision, Up to 300mm/s Speed, 1KG Filament: desertcart.com: Industrial & Scientific Review: Awesome EnerVision 3D printer !!! - I currently have another 3D printing machine but decided to purchase EnerVision 3D printer for my daughters at home. They were first fascinated by the package boxed in orange & white color and the machine was packed with strong paddle inside of the package. I could sense that it was very strongly packaged with extra care. The silver color stainless steel structure was very impressive. The round curve of the corner was well designed to protect the children from getting hurt. I could feel that, inside the machine, the supporting poles for the printing head were designed very strongly to prevent any trembling while in printing use. The LCD screen was full color and it was positioned at the bottom of the machine with tilted degree. It was very convenient for us to manipulate the every different key of the LCD screen. Using another 3D printer before, I frequently encountered issues in clogging of filament inside of the nozzles. So far as I found, I did not see this issue and print quality was super. The instruction manual was described handy, so we could find a way to use the machine easily. The surface area of the printed objects was very smooth and daughters were very pleased with their work. The print layer thickness is 0.05mm min. and as I understand it is one of the best class in terms of precision. Another important thing I noticed was it had a thick stainless steel heatbed. It worked as a very strong and safe supporting ground for printing. It was one of the unique things I’ve never noticed from other machines. I spent quite a lot of time investigating many different printers but EnerVision was the best I’ve ever found so far in terms of its great performance, strong and safe designs. I have never found any other printer made in stainless steel structure with all the cool features like EnerVision 3D printer. I definitely recommend it with strong confidence. This is my daughters’ work. They really liked it. It was a great feeling that they enjoyed working on it. The package photo is included here too. Great and thanks, EnerVision!!! Review: Poor assembly - The printer arrived busted and broken. The tools had been jammed into the print space the print bed was bent the extruder block is snapped, but couldn't tell until we tried to print a test and the block fell off 2 hours in and gunked up and quit. Manual said that SD card has additional guides and troubleshooting on it but it only had a exe and a few test models. No website for the printer.

Excellent, and quite reliable prints!
While a truly flawless, plug-and-play printer probably doesn't exist at any price range, the EV160 does a fantastic job. I've been printing with it continuously for several days and it is outputting cleaner prints than my Replicator 2, which cost $2,200 at the time. The printer is very sturdy, with a rigid all metal body and thick aluminum build plate. I added a PEI surface onto the aluminum, and now I get the most flawless first layers. I would appreciate a g-code start script that purges some of the plastic before starting the print, since there's always some filament that comes out of the nozzle while heating up, but I've mostly worked around that by using a 2 or 3 outline skirt around all my parts. Also note, that it's a somewhat loud machine.. I barely hear it one room over, but it's far from silent when you're in the same room. These are minor things, however, and when it comes down to what is important -- clean, repeatable prints -- the EV160 has given me no problems!

Very solid little beast of a printer
I've had this printer for just over a week now. The only issue i had was the fact that the Printer fuse kept blowing out, only later did i realize that i need to open the printer form the bottom and find the voltage switch of the PSU to change it to 220volts (not written in the manual). However, knowing that this printer is mainly for US customers, i would let that slide, but a mention would have been nice. Once that was set, oh boy! this printer is one solid machine. The materials used for it are extremely overbuilt for its size, making it a very precise machine. The z-axis leadscrew with bearings is 16mm thick along with another 2 z-axis rods of 12mm diameter. This printer truly shines when printing in 100 microns and it is absolutely spot on. Touch screen is very responsive and quite intuitive. the machine can be easily lugged around due to its sturdiness. While the print area is small, the machine weighs over 25lb which should give you an idea of the build quality. The price it a bit on the steep side for the build volume, however the quality and ease of use more than makes up for it. Definitely a recommended printer, whether beginner or advanced.
