I had a prior version of this which I liked but it broke because the plastic handle failed. This one is metal and looks like it should hold up a lot better. Unlike the predecessor, one side detaches so you can get at the insides easily for cleaning. Works great like all Microplane stuff does at shredding, grating, etc...

Grader is great. Made in USA assembled in Mexico. Would buy again. Always looking for anything not made in china where child and slave labor is used also, Christian's are prosecuted and killed.

More expensive than Chinese versions but sturdiness and sharp cutting edges well worth the price.

This is a fantastic product. The reason for only a 4 star review is a vertical crack in the frame holding the grating plates. I have had my Microplane 4-sided grater for 10 years now. The grater part still works great but after the first few years, the frame holding the grating plates cracked. The crack has now gotten to be at least 5 mm wide by 1 cm long. If I could get a new body for the plates? I would be so excited!

I bought this to replace my old Microplane box grater which had finally broken after years of use. This new one has sturdier feet, more features than before, my favorite being the fine shredder blade that is removeable so the tool is a lot easier to clean along with the very sharp grater blades. An outstanding tool!

Magnificent tool. Expensive but every bit worth the money. I grate/shred almost every day or at least three times a week. Cheese, root vegetables, roots (ginger/turmeric, etc.) It is a beautiful tool, and I don't regret the money I paid for it. There is one caution I highly recommend. Use a safety glove; if you don't, you will regret it. Arrogantly, I failed one time and paid the price. Keep your fingers away from any part of the grater. Can I recommend this kitchen tool? Absolutely, if you grate/shred as much as I do.

Muy afilado y resistente. Ralla queso, verduras o lo que sea sin esfuerzo. Las cuatro caras son muy prácticas. Se nota que es de calidad.

Ich habe seit meinem Auszug zuhause vor 30 Jahren die alte 4-Kantreibe mitgenommen und mich mit dieser seither abgemüht. Nie hatte ich Spaß daran mit dieser zu arbeiten und ich schwöre: Ich kann diese Entscheidung nicht empfehlen! ☝️ Zwar habe ich mir erstmal richtig wehgetan (Bitte aufpassen!) , aber dennoch freue ich mich wie ein kleines Kind darüber mit dieser Reibe zu arbeiten und wünschte halt eben nur, ich hätte sie schon viel früher gekauft 😍 PS: Ich habe sie übrigens aufgehängt. Das funktioniert mit ihr richtig gut und dann ist sie auch aus dem Weg.

Klein vermogen voor een goede rasp. Nu 2 jaar van genoten en hij is nog steeds scherp. Probleem is dat het een goede scherpe rasp is in een zwak plastic frame. Helaas is dit frame doorgebroken en kan ik dus geen kracht meer op de rasp zetten. en is de rasp nu amper bruikbaar meer. Voor mij een les, ja hij is scherp en goed. Maar voortaan alleen nog een volledig metalen rasp nog.

Microplane graters are simply the best graters out there. This is my second one, as I gave the first away in an unfortunate fit of generosity. They’re quite a bit more expensive now than when originally purchased, but there’s no way I could settle for a normal sucky grater anymore, so I didn’t bat an eye… just glad I could replace it. Will not be parting with this one, so hands off friends and family! Also, I do own a mixer with all those attachments, but this is just so much quicker and easier for small jobs.
