Excellent filtration, convenient features
I’ve had a Culligan filter pitcher of the same capacity as this PUR model, but filters for it are no longer available, so it was time for a replacement. I saw that the PUR got great reviews, and I was not disappointed in my choice. The PUR filters quite quickly, easily 3 times as fast as the Culligan. Our water here is heavily chlorinated, the worst I’ve ever experienced; it smells almost like pool water. After filtration through the Culligan it still had a faint taste of chlorine; but after filtration through the PUR, there was no residual chlorine odor or taste. The water tasted great! This was using the standard PUR filter. The pitcher has some very nice features: there’s a round hatch for filling the reservoir, so no need to remove the entire top. The lid itself locks onto the pitcher, so when pouring it out, the lid stays firmly attached. Another great feature is the little flap over the pour spout; this keeps the pitcher completely closed until you pour, as it opens automatically and closes itself when you’re done. This keeps out those nasty little gnats or curious bugs which occasionally fall into an open or accessible container, contaminating the entire contents. A very big plus! The pitcher is well-made of sturdy plastic; sure, the filters seal on a neoprene O-ring to ensure a tight, secure seal between the upper and lower compartments. I’m very pleased with this pitcher and recommend it without reservation.

Clear clean water
I love this pitcher. For the price point it's been great. The lid has never popped off like other reviewers have stated. So simple to set up. I live in an area where the water smells wretched. Like exceeding amounts of chlorine or sulphur. I saw this pitcher and thought it'd be a better choice rather than adding things to all my faucets. The water fills up relatively quickly and tastes clean..no bad taste no smell. Best part is I use it to rinse my eyes since the faucet water was giving me steyes..yes multiple ones in each eye! Now with this and ocuclear foam to wash..all better. Best purchase I've made and ther was a coupon for filter refills

Pure filter system works wonders on hard water
Pure filter system works perfectly and I know this because I have hard water and if I poured it in the dog bowl, it will leave watermarks otherwise. I’m very happy with the size of the filter as well because just one pours the whole dog bowl.

Easy Upgrade for Better Tasting Water
The PUR 7-Cup Water Filter provides a convenient and affordable way to improve the taste and quality of your tap water. Here's a breakdown of its strengths and weaknesses: Pros: Noticeable Taste Improvement: Filters out a good amount of chlorine and other impurities, making tap water more palatable. Simple Setup and Use: Quick to assemble, filters last a decent amount of time, and the stay-tight lid allows filtering while pouring. Space-Saving Design: Ideal for smaller households or those with limited fridge space. Cons: Not Super Speedy: The filtering process isn't the fastest, especially when refilling a completely empty pitcher. Occasional Lid Flimsiness: The lid can sometimes feel a bit loose, but isn't prone to spills. Tip: Keep extra filters on hand! Since this pitcher is smaller, you'll probably run through filters more quickly than with larger models. Stocking up helps prevent running out of filtered water. Overall: If you want a compact, no-fuss solution for tastier drinking water, the PUR 7-Cup Pitcher is a solid choice. Don't expect lightning-fast filtration or the sturdiest construction, but for good-value basic filtration, it ticks the boxes.

PERFECT FOR STINKY TAP WATER! Read this for important instructions on filtered water
Perfect for over-chlorinated tap water. Remember to hold the cover on the pitcher and add one shake of high mineralized salt (like pink Himalayan). All water filters de-mineralize water so you should add electrolytes via salt or mineral drops. Best price and makes tasty water!

Better than Brita
I'd been using Brita for years, but I decided to check out other products. I researched a number of pitcher filter systems to see what they filtered out. The Pur was at the top of affordable pitchers, the filters cost less than Brita, and the water tastes better.

Excellent and Essential
Hearing that my town's water wasn't as pure as I assumed led me to get this. Now I have learned that my town is hardly alone, that most tap-water is questionable. So it is sadly necessary to filter the water we drink. PUR is one of the most reliable and highly-regarded home water filters. It is also very easy to use. The filters are easy to insert into the pitcher, and they last two months. In no time at all, you'll have a pitcher in your fridge ready for ice cubes, coffee, water bottles, and drinking as is. By the way, I read that the standards of bottled water are also questionable. So save yourself some money and be safer at the same time. Get a water bottle from Amazon, get this pitcher, and you'll be better off. If for some reason the instructions aren't clear, PUR has a few YouTube videos that show exactly what to do. In my opinion, this is a must-have item.

Good filtration I think
I've used pur for years very satisfied with the product. The long filters can be slow to flow not a deal breaker.

Yes, great
I totally recommend this water filter. It's my 3rd brand I have tried and this one beats the others. Water taste clean, no after taste. I don't have any issues with the lid, the lid is better than the Santevia brand.

Love this water filter !
Love this filter! Makes my water taste amazing. Replacement cartridges are a little pricey but worth the money. Tested the alkalinity with my PH tester and claim is accurate.
