There is a lot of technology in this level, yet it's so easy to use that it falls into that strange category of "high tech item a child could use." I was extremely impressed from this from the very first time I used it. The green lasers are very bright and easy to see except in direct sunlight and come on, what can you do it's direct sunlight you can still use it within a few dozen feet even at high noon. In a interior room with the lights down I was able to make accurate measurements at my nightclub to a distance of more than 200 feet. Literally just set it down, unlock the gyroscopes, wait a few seconds and then turn it on that's all you need to do. One of my staff has a Bosch that cost three times as much as this, and this seems to do exactly as well. It comes with a robust carrying case, and adapter for different tripods, the battery life has been fantastic I've only had to charge it once since I bought it, and there's not a lot more I can say about this other than it far exceeded my expectations. Lately I've been using this to help level a parking lot and the contractors just love it - it probably saved us $500 in materials we didn't have to purchase for filling in and leveling the parking lot. I used it to set the slope on a flat roof and again it probably saved us $200 in materials. This is a fine quality item.

I’ve used the $600 Dewalt laser for years and it’s a good level. I’ve also been a Klein guy for 25+ years, but never purchased anything other than hand tools from them. I was skeptical, but figured half the cost of the Dewalt was worth a shot. I was pleasantly surprised that not only was it worth the $250 I paid, I’d easily pay $350 for it (of which it may be in the near future….LGB). Incredibly bright and precise green laser inside and out. Seems to be built just as robustly as the Dewalt I’m well accustomed and the controls are very similar and easy to use. The ability to plug it in via USB device without the use of a battery is also incredibly helpful. So far I am more than pleased with the Klein Laser Level. Hopefully it’ll hold up just as long as it’s competition. Im sure it will. Edit: Been about a year, still works great and original battery still kickin!

Works great! I had never used a laser so I wasn’t sure I could trust the line at first but after checking the first few with a level, I can say it is very accurate. Has definitely made my life easier on many projects! Great value in my opinion.
