Got my shine back with this kit. Valued well, and can’t be a good quality shine after the fact.

Full kit, covers the basics

Just got today and havent used yet except for metal polish and it done a really good job. The buffer wheels are well made , its actually made for a hand held buffer but I bought for my bench buffer because I liked the looks of it. It has a 5/8 arbor and I tried one wheel to make sure it would fit, I had to file out the safety flange a very very little and it fit fine. Has everything in kit you could want , but if you're buying it for a bench buffer buy an extra safety flange because it only comes with one because of it being made for a hand held buffer. I really could have pushed hard and got the safety flange on but wanted to fit like it should. Supposed to be one of the best polishing kits you can get and the way the wheels are made it should do a good job and looks like they will last a while.

I've only used the beffing wheels a couple times, and they work just fine. However, I was really impressed with the polish for removing overspray on the paint. I'm using a medium density foam pad on a Harbor Freight Baxter 6" DA sander and it makes short work of the overspray.

I decided to use this product on my pontoon boat and here's my opinion. Where the water line is on the aluminum floats... Above the water line I can make it look like a mirror but below the water it's very so-so. I used the orange wheel as the first step and above the water line it looks great. I tried using my Dewalt grinder at a snails pace for below the water line and the results weren't not nearly as good. Don't get me wrong the orange wheel will easily remove the gray haze below the water line but it just can't get that really nice shine like above the water line. It's like they need a coarser pad for aluminum that sits in water. My only other complaint is that the polishing bars; brown, green, and white are very small and get used up quickly. My final thoughts are if you are planning on using on something that sits in the water this might not be the product you are looking for. I'm guessing that lake water is more corrosive and the orange pad just doesn't have enough to get the really nice shine. The metal polish leaves a haze. Like another person mentioned, it leaves like a cloudy haze so I stopped using it. I just liked the shine better after using the white polishing wheel. This kit should come with a polishing pad as well but it doesn't. You have to buy it separately.

I really like how well these clean up metal. I only sanded to 320 grit and then these pads did the rest. Works much better than the standard cloth polishing wheels. Made the job much easier and saved a ton of time.
