Does it come with the cartridge?

Yes, this comes with the cartridge (the part the goes in the rough-in valve). You still need to have a rough-in valve like the Delta R10000-UNBXHF Multichoice Universal or similar installed to use this shower set.

Is this made from plastic?

The cartridge insert is plastic (obviously). The shower head body is metal, and the inner diffuser is plastic. Everything else is metal. Delta is still the best product, and best product for money. Their SS products are excellent.

is there a bevel around the edge or not? first two pictures have no bevel, the rest have a bevel. most customer pics have a bevel, but i like w/out

Even if it does have one, you still have to caulk around it so you wont see it anyways. Caulking is done around it so water doesnt get in.
