Works great for my lightweight climbers.
I grow mostly Pothos and Monstera plants. I start training my plants to small moss poles like this one from Hyyz as soon as they are tall/long enough to start attaching string to hitch them to a pole. I make most of my own poles from hardware cloth but small poles like this Hyyz are way too much of a pain in the posterior to make. For plants like my young Cebu Blue Pothos or Monstera Adansonii this is a great starter pole. It fits well in my 6 inch pots and this size pot can easily handle two stacked sections without becoming too top heavy. The pole is rather stiff and isn’t the most beautiful thing in the world. But it’s just a temporary thing for me until my plants are ready to pot up. I’ve read all the other reviews on this product and want to share some things I’ve learned along the way that might help others when using this or any other brand of “micro” moss pole. I use Better-Gro orchid moss in all my moss poles. It’s consistent and very clean. I’ve never had to pick out an excessive amount of sticks, grasses or other trash from it. To be completely safe I open a package of the moss into a 5 gallon bucket and add boiling water before I pick through anything. I put the lid on the bucket and come back about 30 minutes later to gently stir things a bit to make sure everything is good and soaked. The lid goes back on for another hour. I do this to make sure that anything and everything, such as gnat or grub worm eggs, are destroyed by the hot water. In the case of this pole the long fibers of this moss hold together better when filling the pole. One of the things I’m not overly keen on with this pole is how close the stakes are to each other. It limits how high I can stack the pole and how much weight it can handle and still be stable in the soil. But that goes with the territory when using this small of a diameter pole. When my moss is ready I fill the pole and leave about an inch of space at the top. I attach my vines and voila my green babies are good to go. This pole does dry out fast and there really isn’t much space for aerial roots to develop with such a small diameter pole. With my Monstera Adansonii I wrap the outside of the pole with a generous layer of moss and twine after filling the inside. Keeping this moss pole moist can be a bit of a challenge. But I have an easy way to handle that. I take an empty 16.9oz plastic soda bottle and drill several holes in the lid with a 7/64” drill bit. I fill the bottle with water and screw the cap on. That inch of space I left in the top of the pole that I spoke of earlier is part of my easy watering solution. I turn the bottle upside down and put it in the top of the pole to slow drip the water into the moss. Here’s the kicker and the most important thing when watering like this. The lid of the bottle must touch the moss. If it does not touch it the water will stay in the bottle. By the lid touching the moss it breaks the surface tension of the water and gravity does the rest. When I do this I usually take the tray off of the bottom of the pot so excess water can just drain into my kitchen sink as it passes through the moss and filters down through my potting medium. Much easier than trying to mist the pole and certainly easier(and less tedious) than trying to slow feed water down the moss manually. These things make using these poles by Hyyz easy for me. These poles do have some limitations but they work for my purposes. They’re inexpensive, they don’t rust and they’re reusable for eons. I sell plants from my props to help with being on a fixed retiree’s income so my plants are very important to me. This pole makes my job and the passion for my plants much more enjoyable. It’s a great product for my needs.

A Must-Have for Happy Climbing Plants!
I recently added a Plastic Moss Pole to my indoor plant collection, and it has been an absolute game-changer for my climbing aroids! I've tried various support structures in the past, but this one truly stands out. First off, the durability of the plastic is fantastic. Unlike some other materials, I don't have to worry about it degrading or rotting over time, even with constant moisture. It's sturdy and provides excellent, reliable support for my plants as they grow upwards. What I particularly love is how easy it is to use and extend. The modular design means I can simply stack additional poles on top as my plant gets taller, which is incredibly convenient and saves me from having to repot or replace the entire support. The plant roots cling to it beautifully, mimicking their natural climbing habit. The design also seems to help with moisture retention around the aerial roots, which is crucial for healthy, larger foliage on many climbing plants. My plants have shown noticeable improvement in growth and leaf size since I introduced these poles. If you're looking for a long-lasting, effective, and easy-to-manage support system for your climbing houseplants, I highly recommend the Plastic Moss Pole. It's a simple investment that makes a big difference in the health and aesthetics of your plants!

They are SMALL
It’s a pretty great product. Likes are sturdy, and they retain moisture decently well. I got these for my leca plants and I’m so happy I did. Just stuff it full of damp moss, wrap your plant around and secure and you’re good to go! Pretty easy to use. Just keep it moist by misting or watering. Already ordered more. It is SMALL!! So this will really only work with cuttings to plants in up to a 4” MAYBE a 6” pot. So smol.

Not what I was looking for
Not my favorite moss pole. I feel like there is too much plastic showing and the plants don’t grasp onto it as well as others that I have previously tried. For some people this might be exactly what they want, but it just didn’t work well for me.

Perfect!
These are exactly what I've been needing and such a time saver! Most importantly, they work great for my plants and are sturdy. I have some huge, wide moss poles, but I needed something thinner but yet thicker than just a bamboo stick. These poles are perfect! And the best part is the only assembly is sticking the legs in the bottom, which takes about two seconds. I've bought some moss poles where you get nothing but rolled up plastic that you have to manhandle and try to make into a tube and it takes forever. These poles are already formed. Just take them out of the box, stick in the little legs, shove some moss inside which is super easy because the top is nice and open, and then stick it in your pot. I have two stacked together and they are plenty sturdy. I am going to purchase another set so I can stack some more. These work great in my 6" pots, and I think I will try putting two sets, one on each side of the pot, in a larger pot rather than those big, bulky moss poles. Also, I've read some complaints about the moss drying out quickly. Some people don't even keep the moss wet, but if you want the moss to stay moist, stick mini watering globes or stick a small wet sponge on top and continue to 'water' the sponge every few days and your moss will stay moist.

HYYZ Moss Pole ★ Proof it works: My Pink Princess clinging to success like she’s paid rent
★Finally, a moss pole that doesn’t collapse like my willpower at a plant sale.” This is the IKEA furniture of moss poles: it clicks together easily, stands tall, and makes me look like I know what I’m doing. The spiky end goes in the soil (not sideways into the void), and once filled with moss, it’s pure plant magic. My Philodendron Pink Princess has rooted into it like it’s found religion. The sections stack up as your plant climbs, staying damp without turning swampy. Pros: Easy to assemble, sturdy, and actually works. Cons: None—unless explaining why your plant has a plastic skeleton counts. Would I buy again? Already did. My plants thrive on structure—unlike me

Happy with purchase
Got these for my monstera. Overall it's a pretty sturdy plastic, and I'm happy with my purchase. Trying to water the moss inside can be a little tricky, but I usually just drench it in the sink

Almost perfect, but..
My pot is a little too short for the spiked things at the bottom. Or are the spiked things at the bottom too long/tall? Otherwise perfect and would purchase again.
