Are these self correcting? For example, does number one only fit on the one with one dot?

No, they are not self-correcting. They all fit on every pop. The color of the dots correlate to the "color coating" though, which your child will probably pick up on. It gives them a 50/50 shot of being right if they just guess.

Do they make higher number we have these and live them but now need higher numbers

We do not make higher numbers in the pops at the moment but have other items with higher numbers like our numberblocks and 100 board set.
