Device arrived damaged
When purchased, all drive bays worked except Bay 1, which had a status of "Drive Failure Detected". I replaced the drive in the bay with 2 different brand-new hard drives, and it still has the same status. Its brand new and I don't have time to ship it back. I'm really disappointed.

Overrated.
I purchased this a few months ago anticipating Third party Camera support. In the past , i've used digile video recorders, Network video recorders, Computers with blue iris. And even v c r's back in the eighties. The product looks nice. My issues are first off. All the hard drives have to be identical, They must be the same size, for indtance, if you put an 8tb hard drive and a 2tb drive, It only allows you to use 2 TB of that larger drive. Secondly there is no video output. So you have to spend an additional $200 to buy a display adapter (viewport). And that is not a good solution as it runs out of resources displaying 4k cameras after only 2 or 3 cams. This is not a serious security product. Stick with a brand that specializes in commercial security not one thst has a fan base of DIYres.
