Works with Windows 11.
Final update: It DOES work with Windows 11, and I am now getting video and photo transfer speeds from SD as if they were plugged into the motherboard I/O ports. The supplied disk would not install the drivers but Windows 11 Pro was able to install drivers after several attempts on a new PC build. I think all Windows updates and other drivers had to install before the card would function properly. I coupled the card with a Kingwin brand front panel with excellent results. I put this on a Z890 Tomahawk because that board is excellent for my needs. If you need a second USB port for an optional front panel, you could buy a motherboard that has a second USB port. MSI and ASUS have such boards but the ones I was considering sacrifice features I want. Overall, this is an excellent way to add ports if you have a vacant PCI-E X4 slot and a second front panel. It works on Windows Server 2025...
Purchased this card for a Windows Server 2025 home workstation/lab server to add USB-C to the front panel using the internal Type E port and two USB-C ports on the back of the rackmount server case for additional connectivity. Installed the card into an available PCI MB slot and Windows Server 2025 autodetected the card on powerup and automatically installed needed Windows drivers. All ports detect attached devices and appears to be working. Have not had a change to test thruput yet. Pleased with the card.

Aside from Installation Details, this is the perfect product if you want to add USB-C to your PC
I am new to pc modification/building, so I was a bit ignorant and ran into some trouble with the install. BIOS was up to date and manually went to install the driver as a redundancy, but still had issues. Quick Solution: If you can't get past POST after installing the card, but your PC works normally when the card is removed, you may just need to change your PCIe settings from AUTO to GEN.1 and then install the card. All in all, it does exactly what is needed. I can use my usb-c hub for my PC now as well as my work laptop and this allows me to just change the 1 usb-c cable from laptop to pc rather than 8 cables for all my peripherals. Adds a quality of life aspect to working with multiple computers. I would gladly purchase/recommend again. A more detailed view of my journey is below if you're interested- Here is my forum post: I'm new to PC modification/building, so please forgive my ignorance. As stated in the title, with the installation of a PCIe card, my PC will only open the boot screen and will be completely unresponsive. I can't even enter the BIOS menu. Without the card installed, there are no issues whatsoever. Current Build: i7-4790k Asrock z97 Killer mobo Asus Turbo GeForce GTX 1060 6gb I have verified BIOS is fully updated and the card doesn't require drivers when used with windows 10 and the pcie slot being used is in working condition. Is it possible my mobo doesn't support the card as my system is a little outdated? The pcie card in question is an attempt to add usb-c ports to my PC. Currently using a usbc hub for my work laptop and loathe the swapping of all of my cables (triple monitor setup among other peripherals). The response that solved my issue: Have you tried putting the PCIe riser card in a different PCIe slot? You could also try changing your PCIe settings for the slot from Auto to GEN.1 while you have the board removed, then put it back in and see if it gets through POST. Most of the PCIe riser cards will have backwards compatibility so an older system shouldn't be a problem, but can't rule that out. Do you have an older, small power supply as well? The USB cards can be pretty power hungry and it might not be able to draw enough power. Does your add in card have it's own power port from the PSU?

not for a newer motherboard not for an older motherboard but something in the middle
I had a motherboard that had one USB-c in the back but none for the front panel support. I need to add some onto a older Asus TUF board. I bought this to add 2 additional usb-c ports to the system. I didn't do any speed testing but just know it works very well. The YEELIYA PCIe card is worth buy to add a little bit of speed to your dedicated connectors.

Works Great
Have had issues with getting a card that will work with an older MB. After a lot of work, this one finally loaded and works great. Paired it with a front panel expansion (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QXGVM8Y?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). The work very well. I tried adding a card to get type C ports but kept having driver issues with my existing card. Ended up just putting this card in to give me expanded A and C ports. Worked well after I uninstalled all old hardware and drivers in windows. It would only run on a PCIE ver 2.0 bus. Would not recognize on a ver 3.0 bus. The only issue with performance was when I plugged a WD 2.5 inch drive in. The card crashed and I had to reboot. I assume it was not able to supply enough current to start the drive. I use the port mainly to run a powered Plugable Lightning Extender / Hub. I can plug my drive directly here with not problems.

Easy to install if you follow the instructions.
Card looked nice and was easy to install. If you follow the instructions, it does say that you have to update the drivers. I went to their website and updated the drivers and was off and running. However, this is not my first time as I have built several of my own computers. The price point was right, and I also now have the ability to hook up three Internal USB devices as well. I did not need the front panel extension, but I did have an old Western Digital HDD Passport that I decided to put internal this card gave me that ability as I was able to find a cable to attach to the 19 pin for the front panel that had 2 USB ends on It. I also found a adapter for the other Type E port That allowed me to expand one more USB internal. I know this is not probably the intended use, but I find it valuable as these days they are coming out with very fast and large thumb drives. You could install these internal and keep your external USB's open for other devices plus you could really expand your computer's memory this way. I like it for me it was the right purchase as I also had no external C Ports. Nice product way to go Yeeliya. It works for me, and I believe others will like this product also 5/5 from me.

UPDATED: Not plug and play for Win10 - needs Sunix USB 3.1 Cypress Card Driver
UPDATE: In my earlier review I had found a workaround and specified that you cannot boot the computer with this card installed without first installing a driver; I further specified that if you ever remove the card afterward, you'll have to again first install the driver before inserting the card. Well, apparently unplugging the PC as well as Windows system updates ALSO count as removing the card. And if you don't physically remove the card before running the Windows update, your computer will freeze during the reboot. Short story: Don't buy this card. It's simply not worth the hassle. (Original review below): Took a LOT of fiddling to figure this one out, but I've finally got 3 working USB ports! Haven't tested the speeds yet, though. Basically, you need to install the Sunix USB 3.1 Cypress Card Driver from Dell.com's support page BEFORE shutting down your PC to plug in the card. Be sure to fully install the card before turning the system back on, because if you ever remove it, you'll have to first re-install the driver again before it will work. Without first installing that driver, my computer wouldn't get past POST. Feel free to try for yourself, though! My build: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz Windows 10 Home, 64bit (19044.1766) Gigabyte GA-Z97N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard

Great USB card
My motherboard didn't have an internal USB-C header and my HYTE Y60 case did, so I decided to buy a PCIe card to add an internal USB-C header. Since the Y60 has low-profile PCIe slots for everything except the GPU, I needed a card with a half-height bracket. This one fit the bill, and also adds two additional type C ports on the back of the PC. Since my motherboard already provided the front USB-3.0 header, I decided to also buy a low profile USB 3.0 bracket with two ports to install alongside this card to make use of its USB 3.0 header. Now I have two additional USB 3.0 and two additional USB C ports on the back of my PC as well as a fully functional front type C. Exactly what I wanted! If you have a motherboard with a limited selection of USB ports, this is a great addition to your build.
