Beyond Paint Counter Top Paint - Pint - Color: Charcoal - No Stripping No Sanding No Priming

This paint is awesome. Great quality, coverage and easy to clean. The colors are perfect for my bathroom cabinets.

I'm giving this product 5 stars so far, though I just applied it yesterday, so I don't know how it will hold up. I had previously tried Rust-O-Leum appliance paint for my countertop. I was pretty happy with that. It didn't hold up forever, but that was never my expectation. Also, I bought the stainless-steel color, and though it did look kind of metallic, it more blended with stainless steel than mimicked it. I bought the Beyond paint to create a matte finish that I hoped would look like some new era laminate countertops. I got the look I was seeking (see photo). If the paint really holds up, what's special about it is that there is no odor, it dries really fast, and my countertop project looks like a replacement, not a repainting. You'll note that it is sold in 1-pint jars. This was way more than I needed for my tiny countertop. It's very thick. I always meant to repaint my countertop with the original product I used, but going through that process again was really daunting. So, my 5 stars are for ease of application, no odor, fast drying, and good looks just after application.

Goes on real easy. Looks nice...at first. Im writing this review 6 months after using this product to let you know its a cheap option for a reason. Just about anything will stain and discolor this. I was making dinner, had a piece meat fall on it, finished making dinner before I cleaned it up. Within that short period of time it had discolored the counter. Had something similar happen with water. Washing dishes, some water splashed. Went to clean it up when I was done and the spot was already discolored. 6 months later and I now have a counter full of spots. Absolutely was not worth it!

Best paint I have ever used . So easy to use, no drips no brush or roller marks. It is a little thick, only thin it a little. The instructions say to use a chisel brush for small areas I used a foam brush. I also used a foam brush for painting spindles . I can not say enough good things about this product. Anyone can paint like a pro.

Ordered this sample/ smaller size to sample the kitchen. I did end up ordering a gallon of this later and then. Come to find out this must have been a slightly different shade of brown because the cabinet section I painted with this was a different color then the rest of my kitchen. So I did have to go back and repaint everything painted with this. But this little container did go pretty far. I would say you could paint a small to medium bathroom vanity with this much paint. The price is a bit steep and it is not as durable as some other brands but it does work. My entire kitchen is painted in the Mocha. The little can goes a long ways, the finish is a Matte.

Pleased with product! Covers well and love that it’s all in one paint. Had dinghy looking countertops and couldn’t afford new yet. Color made them look cleaner and nicer.

I have refinished furniture the traditional way, meaning sanding, priming and painting. I needed to paint my sideboard quicky so I thought I would give Beyond Paint a try. My sideboard is an antique, mahogany wood. I cleaned it very well with Simple Green as instructed, then rinsed it several times with vinegar and water, let it air dry for 4 hours. I chose the off white and started to use the paint with the roller as directed and the chip brush. The first coat went on well, except for two areas on the top of my piece. The paint just started sliding off. I continued with the rest of the sideboard. I let it dry and gave it another coat. Again the paint would not adhere to these areas. I wiped the paint off of the areas and gave a second coat elsewhere. I let it dry overnight. There is definitely bleed through and not full coverage with two coats. I was able to cover up the areas that would not take the paint, but you can still see the wood coming through. My piece would definitely need 4 coats of this paint for a truly opaque finish. It looks fine for now as I want the somewhat distressed look. We will see how it holds up. For me I found that you cannot drag the paint with the roller or put pressure like with other paints. Just let the paint roll. You can tap the brush in the corners and the paint will self level once dry. Overall, it did take less time than usual refinishing, but I really should have sanded my piece prior to applying paint. It saved me time, clean up was easy and I am pleased with the result. I used 1 pint for a sideboard and have a drop left. My furniture really sucked up the paint. Not all furniture will come out the way those you tube videos show.

this paint is a miracle !!! don't hesitate to purchase this paint- no priming no sealing just paint 2 coats and you're all done. and it looks really good . I will be buying again

The paint arrived in unusable condition and was crumbling straight out of the can.

I gave it 4 stars because you need to apply more than 2 coats for added durability. We painted our powder room vanity and while the 2 coat did provide good coverage, it also started nicking and chipping very easily. Yes we prepped the vanity well and even scuffed up the surface, used iso alcohol to clean, let fully dry etc. but we ended up adding another 2 coats and that did the trick. So a total of 4 coats provided enough durability for daily use. We used half of the pint but because we bought the paint specifically for this vanity, it was worth it, but it's also a guinea pig before trying this out in our kitchen. Lays out thick and does smooth out nicely with a fine haired paint brush. Dries within 2 to 4hrs in between coats, don't rush it.
