This is exactly what I needed to store my avocado and for it to stay fresh.

I was needing another storage container for leftover avocado and this worked great.

I had this awesome gel thing that you stretch over your avo and that worked wonderfully for several years but it died recently so I got one of these.First of all, the best way to keep an avocado from going brown so quick is to leave the seed in. I have kept avos for DAYS with the little gel thing I had but couldn’t find a new one and since reviews were so good, thought I’d try it. Well, you cannot leave the seed in if you’re going to put it in this. Well, you could I guess but then the avo would be upside down (or seed up) and that isn’t how this keeper is intended to work.The avo I stored in it was not overly ripe so when I opened this the next day, I expected to not see any brown at all on the avo. Bottom line. It doesn’t work. My avo had brown and was ugly. Compared to the gel thing I had, this thing is pathetic. Don’t bother.

I eat half an avocado every day. My last storage container broke, so I thought I'd try a new one. This holder is little better than a plastic baggie. The only thing it does better is keeping the avocado from getting smashed by other items in the fridge. Don't waste your money. The ones with the silicon top are way better!
