A complete God Send!!
I struggle with extreme bleeding during my period. TMI so stop reading if you don’t want to know but I bleed through a super plus tampon every 3 hours for four days. This has made it so I only need to use the bathroom a couple times a day and I can sleep through the night without feeling like I need to basically wear a diaper! The size is great and holds a lot! It’s easy to insert. Just fold in half and put it in. It’s usually pretty comfortable. If I find I have cramps with it, I usually just need to take it out and reinsert it and I’m fine again. I have two and I rotate between the two. I also have a small sanitizer (which I also recommend). The company puts a lot of thought into this. It has a cute, none identifying carrying bag and comes with a pouch with cleaning wipes and lubricant if needed. All and all I would highly recommend for anyone!

Great Alternative Option to 'Traditional' Period Products
Okay! I ordered this product a while ago, but I wanted to wait until I had used it a few times to be able to write an honest and comprehensive review. So here it is: I have used tampons and pads, the more 'traditional' period products forever. After recent studies showing trace amounts of metal in tampons, I decided to switch to reusable period products. Yes, I know the amount of metal isn't deadly, but I thought this would be a good way to reduce waste and save some money as well. At first, I tried a menstrual cup, which didn't work for me at all. I had tried one-use discs in the past with no luck, so I was a little skeptical about trying this, but I ended up getting it anyway to see if this was any different. I would say that this is a good product and is MUCH easier to use than a menstrual cup. Along with this, if you get squeamish around blood I would recommend purchasing the applicator that the company offers separately since it can get a little messy. Also, I only purchased the small size thinking I wouldn't need/be able to use the larger size, but as the company suggests I would recommend the combo pack since I do find myself cleaning the disc multiple times throughout a heavy flow day. Now for the parts that maybe aren't so great: 1. it does get a little messy, and is a bit hard to deal with in a public space, but I have found workarounds 2. the 'auto-empty' feature: I think I may just be skeptical, I do think it works, but sometimes I'm not sure it 're-positions' itself correctly 3. I'm not always 100% sure I've placed it correctly, and it has leaked. I think this is due to the need for more practice to figure out how exactly to place it. WOW! If you made it all the way down here, good for you! (I'm glad you took the time to read, I read so many reviews trying to decide whether or not I wanted to buy this product) But short and sweet, I think that this is a great product if you want to try reusable period products and a menstrual cup didn't work for you, or just freaks you out, it is a little friendlier. But I hope this helped, and the information was good, thanks for reading!

Zero leaking on my heavy day!
I didn't realize it came as a whole little kit, I was so pleasantly suprised! I love that they include the canvas zipper storage case - this is so handy for storage, or for packing when you know Aunt Flo is supposed to come soon. All the little trial size cleaner and sanitizer packets are awesome! It comes with clear, pictorial instructions on how to insert and remove the disc, if this is your first time trying out a disc, and instructions on how to remove the string if you decide you don't like it (along with a sanding board to sand any rough edges it may leave when you remove it). As for the disc itself - This is the 3rd disc I have tried, and the first that can completely handle my heavy day with ZERO leaking! It took me a few seconds to figure out the right angle to get this one in, with the curved edge. Once inserted, it's very comfortable, you don't feel a thing, and I had no problems with the angle after the first insertion. I ordered the large, as I'm on my feet all day, and on my heavier day it's not always convenient to take it out, empty, and rinse, several times during the day. This completely held my heaviest day with no leaking at all. So nice to not be sitting in blood! It does auto-dump when you pee, but I had zero leaking outside of that. By the 3rd day, I felt so confident with it, I tried it without even wearing a panty liner, and got one tiny drop. I think the curved design helps it fit tighter to your body and keeps it from leaking out behind the disc. I did find if I was sitting for awhile, I occasionally had to dash into the bathroom to reposition the silicone string, but you can't feel the disc at all. NOTE: If this is your first disc, I found it took me a cycle or two with my first disc to really get the hang of getting it positioned right so it doesn't leak. If you don't make sure you get it back all the way, it will leak out behind the disc. Also, I just run my disc under warm water before inserting, and this works for me without a lubricant!

The Perfect Disc
I switched to the Pixie menstrual disc, and I can confidently say it’s the best disc I’ve ever used! Having tried various brands like Nixit, Lumma, Diva, Saalt, Hello, Flex, June, and Cora, none compare to the Pixie. As someone with a heavier flow due to multiple fibroids, I’ve struggled with leakage in the past, but since using the Pixie disc, I’ve experienced zero leaks! The firm yet soft shell, made from 100% medical-grade silicone, fits my anatomy perfectly. The unique oblong shape is a game-changer, providing comfort and security throughout the day. One of my favorite features is the adjustable pull stem for easy removal, which adds to the overall convenience. I can confidently wear the disc for up to 12 hours (and even a bit longer!) without any mess or stress. This disc has truly transformed my period experience, making it much more tolerable and stress-free. I highly recommend the Pixie menstrual disc to anyone considering switching to menstrual discs or exploring their options. You won’t regret it!

I really wanted this product to work for me. Packaging looks pretty nice. I'm using it for the second time and it keeps leaking so much. Not sure what I'm doing. Thinking I might buy a smaller one. Will let you know

After having two children, I decided to try a disc, as the menstrual cup I used pre-kids wasn't staying put and was prone to leaks. This disc would have been an absolute game changer for me, but after some investigation, turns out my cervix happens to be tilted right at the back, so I was getting leaks. Nonetheless, the disc is comfortable and stays put and would have been brilliant if it weren't for my anatomy. The pixie team were incredibly helpful, giving me pointers and sending links to the relevant info videos to troubleshoot. They even sent me an applicator to see if that would work to get the disc as far back as possible. Everything I have received or bought from Pixie has been very high quality, and I've tried a lot of products!! I have never encountered a company with such great customer service. I might try the large cup and see how I go..

It’s uncomfortable and does not fit right. Very hard to insert and causes leaks.

I really liked this disc, easy to use with no leaks. The disc is well made and made from of a nice smooth/soft material. I love the colour. The stem was a little too long for me but very easy to trim down and helps removal. My only issue was it put pressure on my bladder making it very difficult to wee. I have contacted Pixie Cup and they have offered to send me a smaller size to try, free of charge. They have been easy to contact via email and very friendly. Just waiting on confirmation of the smaller size being issued. Looking forward to trying that.

I bought the Pixie Disc (medium size) to replace my old Lumma Cup. Before that, I was using a Diva Cup for years. I’m impressed! It came with a cute zipper pouch containing clear instructions, biodegradable wipes, and even a little file if you want to trim the tail. It’s well made and good quality. I also love that they have a buy-one-give-one program to help women in need. That said, the rim is a bit thicker than what I’m used to, so it wasn’t the perfect fit for me. Their customer service was excellent though! They stood by their 100% satisfaction guarantee and I really appreciate it. (Side note: If you’re thinking about switching from a cup to a disc, I highly recommend it. It sits higher near the cervix, feels more natural, and even auto-dumps when it’s really full. It’s super convenient when using public restrooms. A total game-changer)
