Handy and powerful!
I actually really like this saw. I didnโt want to spend a bunch of money on a power tool and have to take up space storing one so I got this. The design makes it easy to make straight cuts, itโs perfectly sharp, small, perfect.

Sharp, Easy to Use, and Great for Small Woodworking Projects
Great little hand saw overall. Itโs nice and sharp, easy to control, and the flexible blade makes flush cuts simple. I used it on a small project and it handled everything really well. Cutting hardwood trim was quick with the larger teeth, and it left a clean finish.Portability is a big plus. The 6 inch size makes it easy to carry around the shop or toss in a tool bag without taking up much space. For smallโscale woodworking or quick cuts, itโs a perfect size.Value for money is solid too. For the price, the quality of the blade and the accuracy you get are impressive. The beech handle feels good in the hand and the saw has a durable feel overall. The only thing Iโm not a big fan of is the plastic sheaths that cover each side. Theyโre not ideal, but aside from that the quality and design are excellent. I honestly wish I had discovered this type of saw much earlier.

Solid choice for beginners and hobby woodworkers.
ProsSharp & Versatile โ Double-edge SK5 steel blade (14 TPI & 17 TPI) handles both rip and cross cuts efficiently.Flexible for Precision โ Thin, flexible blade allows clean flush cuts and detailed work.Lightweight & Comfortable โ Beechwood handle and low weight reduce fatigue during long sessions.Good Value โ Budget-friendly entry into Japanese pull saws with a lifetime after-sales guarantee.ConsHandle Quality โ Beech handle feels less durable than premium alternatives.Flush Cut Technique โ May leave small marks if not used carefully; requires a bit of practice.Learning Curve โ Pull-stroke cutting can take adjustment for users used to Western push saws. Not Premium โ Fine for hobbyists, but professionals may prefer other brands.Bottom LineThe RUITOOL Ryoba SK5 is sharp, lightweight, and affordable, making it a solid choice for beginners and hobby woodworkers. It delivers good accuracy and dual-edge versatility, but those seeking flawless finishes or premium craftsmanship might want to step up to higher-end options.

Perfect Japanese saw for small wood projects
Good for work with fine cabinet work. This is not large saw but compact one for small project. I used this for barn boos refinish and wood plug cutting. Cheap cut as I expected. I really love this product

Product as described.
No issues. Product as described. I love using Japanese hand saws sometimes when I need something small and quick and can't be fussed to get out something motorized. This isn't the best one I've ever had but it's certainly the most affordable. Cuts straight, has double sides for rip and cross cuts. It's also flexible and compact, which can be handy. Great value for the money.

It was way to easy to use
I've seen advertisements for these things a lot. And I didn't want to invest in some thing that was going to cost me a huge amount of money until I was able to at least try it out to see if it would work for me. This was mainly going to be used for smaller pieces, crafting woodwork, things like that. During our storms Our gate door was torn off one of the hinges. I purchased a few pieces to be able to fix it and realized that they were not the size or the shape that I needed them. This little hand saw easily cut through; quite accurately i might add, through the boards that I had purchased to reinforce the fence gate. 6inches wide 3/4 thick. It took me a few moments to learn the motion with the cutting, but I have used numerous handsaw in. This was by far the easiest to be able to use. When I realize that I also needed to shave off about an eighth of an inch, it was not difficult to cut that eighth of an inch off with this thin saw. We've used it to be able to trim branches easily, and I've used it numerous times to cut Pieces that were in awkward angles, or that I would not be able to fit a regular saw or more importantly, a power tool in there. I will tell you I was worried about the cost, I was worried about the functionality, I was worried about the craftsmanship of this blade, and if it was going to just bend and be done with, and I was pleasantly surprised and all of those aspects. The only thing I will say to this is that I wish I had purchased one sooner

My favourite saw. Working well and good quality product. Cut through wood with ease. I tried it on 40mm by 40mm dry hard wood and it works ok.
