Great add on piece

I’ve used these 1/2 size for a really long time, I cut my own hair for at least 9-10yrs now when I don’t feel like going to the barber, which is I high majority of the time, I had to order these due to the pandemic my local shop hasn’t had any in stock for a while, turned out great, exact ones I always buy, I use these to fade in my haircut, always looks on point, not bad at all for home haircuts, just have to know how to do it and after years of cutting my own hair I think these are good enough to do the job. The piece that came with our Wahl clipper was starting to break. I needed a replacement, so I gave this one a try. It looks a little different than the one that came with our set, but it works and fits perfectly.

My husband likes this length. We have found that some of them last a long time but occasionally we get one that breaks after a few uses.

Not sure why, but the 1/2 attachment to my Wahl clippers suddenly broke a few weeks ago and that was what I used on the side and back of my head when cutting my own hair (I've been doing it for 15+ years now - either I don't care what I look like, or I've half-way proficient at it). I ordered a new one, but it was an off-brand but claimed it fit most Wahl clippers. It actually fit as promised. Unfortunately it was NOT the right size. It was about half-a-millimeter smaller than a size #1 attachment - if that. Essentially it was a #1 with a 1/2 on the front. Not sure if it was a mis-labeled item or if they intended to make it essentially the same size as the #1. I compared them side-by-side and literally could not tell a difference just by looking. I left them a nasty review as a result. So I figured why not just order one made BY Wahl and avoid the issue. Thankfully I quickly spotted this and got it immediately. Thankfully it was exactly what I wanted. Works just the way I want it to, as well. Very satisfied.

I have been cutting my own hair for more than 20years; with this guard, I can now blend and fade my hair Exactly the way I want to at the length that I want (esp. in the spring and summer). I never knew there was a guard shorter than the 'traditional Wahl 2' until I made this purchase; I wish I had come across this 10 years prior!

If you own the wahl deluxe chrome set then this is a must. That set doesn’t come with this 1/16th guard so if you are attempting fades/blends you will be sorely disappointed (there’ll always be a line between the transitions). Since getting this guard it’s made my haircuts easier. Go on YouTube and follow along the guides and you’ll see they all require this guard for fades/blends. My only reservation is that it doesn’t latch on the clippers as snug as the other guard pieces - feels like it might unlatch at any moment so proceed slowly at first.

Arrived quicker than expected. Exact replacement for comb I already had - note - it is light green in colour, rather than the grey in the picture.

This product is not for small size trimmer. Had to return it.

Product works as advertised, but for the cost I would have expected a more robust product. Would not buy again

They are durable and fit well on my clippers. I use these regularly, and they are reliable for all types of haircuts. My fades came out cleaner and blurrier. If you want to make your fade blends better I highly recommend these.
