I am trying to get this to work with my galaxy s8+ and the usbc receiver is always a red light. the mic shows solid green? but does not work. help

I just got it to work from my Pixel 6. In my case there isn't an OGT option. In the built in phone software under the video tab there may be something you can select for options that lets you change from internal mic to "wired mic" the mic will have a solid green light while the receiver will have a solid red light. Maybe this will help someone.

I just got mine today. However its missing the back clip?

Ours had the back clip. I think it was wrapped separately.

Will the transmitted audio from the microphone be heard using a bluetooth headset on the phone?

No. The microphone doesn't use Bluetooth. Instead it transmits to its receiver which is plugged into your phone's USB-C port.
