How is the "toggle" lock button on the side supposed to operate?

When depressed, the toggle lock button prevents the door knob from being turned from the outside, depress it again to release the locked knob.

When I order this lock, how do I specify what hand I need for the lock to be configured too?

You do it by if your lock is located on the right side or left side. Meaning you door lock being on which side.

Can this lock set be made to work with a 2-1/4 thick door? Is there a thick door kit available?

Hi there. This particular lock is made to fit my door. The way I determined what I needed was I visited the Marks actually visited the manufaccturers website to get the correct specs. Then I ordered it from Amazon. It was cheaper and I received it within 2 days. The manufacturer do have lots of options.

1. knob on top, lock on bottom. 2. lock on left, hinge on the right, 3. door pulls open. rhr or lhr?

I’m not sure, but I bought the rhr and my door is the same but the knob is on the bottom. I would think that would mean you need opposite
