Mix ideale tra chimica organica e storia
Sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso da come gli autori non abbiano lesinato sulle formule chimiche, ma abbiano deciso di renderle la chimica organica chiara e avvincente, immersa nella storia

Amazing
This book is not only about the history of chemistry but about the role of chemistry (and science) in our society, as the subtitle points out. Easy to read, this book is not (only) for Chenistis, a good exercise of divulgation. An excellent way of spending some money and time with this enjoyable book.

Fantastic book on the history of (some) chemicals
One of our favorite books used within our homeschool with Ambleside Online year 8. We enjoyed how chemistry and history were blended together. Highly recommend having an accompanying chemistry text to go along with, to help with more of the understanding of the various properties/compositions within chemistry. Though the text could be read and enjoyed on its own, our children found this book very much a “living book”, as Charlotte Mason would term, and a desire to dig deeper was greatly inspired.
