Got this for my daughter’s Joan of Arc costume. It was perfect. Not heavy and easy to pack.

I saved my thoughts about these until after I got to wear them for a full day at a ren faire. I wanted to give them a good try, and now that I have, I think I have to buy a different pair or modify these even more than I have already.Good:- They paint okay. Not really a pro or con- The chest pieces have rolled edges to eliminate sharp metal cutting risks, but it is not comfortable by any meansBad:- You'll want to pull your collar up around your neck. The middle hole will chafe you.- The locking pins are not a good idea. They kept popping off. Multiple times throughout the day. I will likely replace the chest piece with a set that has good old straps.- The arm armor cut me! I debated on running some leather along the bottom to protect myself, but I thought I could get away with just rolling my long sleeves up. It was until I ran my finger along the bottom edge by mistake. The arm piece edges are not rolled over and are a hazard.I can't recommend these. You're going to have to modify them out of the box with additional leather to reduce the risk of injury.
