1L accordion bottle

these do what they're suppose to - hold liquid. Don't seem cheap, holds my photo chemicals just fine. Found them to 'push down' just fine. I've seen other reviews before i purchase that concerned me but they turned out to be either uninformed or don't understand the concept of the accordian concept. They're not suppose to 'pop' down, they just slowly push down, so you have to be careful not to let the liquid come flying out of the top. But that's common sense. So not sure what the complaints were, but if you're using these for photo chemicals, go ahead, they're fine.

Developing your own photo goes much easier when you can tell if your need more chemicals before you start. The flexible design not only improves your chances oxygen aging your chemistry. Compatibility of the container gives you clue that you might need more for the next time you go at it.

These containers do the job they advertise, but the accordion feature of them is a little on the stiffer side. The caps also aren't very reliable in that they can over turn (turn past the "closed" position) and I actually ended up having a spill that lost me an entire 1000mL of C41 developer to my floor because in trying to tip water out of the ridges from being in the water bath, I lost my grip and when the bottle fell the cap popped off. I'd probably recommend spending the extra few bucks on buying the name brand bottles in the future. I have these now so I'll use them and have to be more cautious, but I probably wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Update: 1/5 Seller refunded me for the bottles and I kept them to deal with them as is, I just figured I'd use them more gingerly. I did not use my chemicals for a few months (since December) as I was taking some rolls of film with a new camera and went to finally develop pictures. When unpacking my developing kit, I noticed that my Blix bottle, which was inside a plastic bag, was stuck to the plastic storage container I keep everything in. When I pulled it out, I saw the entire bottom of the bottle was covered in Blix and that it had apparently leaked into the bag and through the bag into the bottom of the container. Some got onto a camera I do keep stored in the container but thankfully doesn't appear to have damaged the camera at this point. The bottle was somehow still airtight, as I opened the lid and it expanded. The developer bottle which was used at the same time seemed fine although the bag I had that inside of felt a little wet. I'm not sure what the issue is with these bottles. These are written as being for darkroom chemicals, yet seem to be unable to do the job. I've had 2 spills with them. The first due to an improperly sealing lid, and the second due to somehow having chemicals seeping from the bottle. Once I use the chemicals for this process I have absolutely no clue what to do with the Blix as clearly I can't keep it stored in this bottle any longer. The Blix, by the way, has appeared to have eaten through some of the plastic container's surface, and the bottle is bleached as well. I would not recommend these at all, and would give these 0/5 stars if possible. I don't have pictures at the moment as all the cleanup set me back and I have to develop these rolls of film as it is getting late. I will have to invest in some actual Paterson bottles going forward. I have officially wasted one bottle of developer and one bottle of Blix. I've been able to develop 5 rolls of film since October.

These containers (while a little stiff) create a good seal and stay compressed during storage. Extra gaskets were included as well, which will extend the usable life of the bottles. Using these, I’m never fearful of air or water from the sous vide bath entering contaminating the chemicals. The red blue and green lids make it easy to identify which chemical you are using. Great product.

The bottles are collapsible but the nicest feature about these is that they include little replaceable plastic discs which sit in the cap and when the cap is closed tightly they form a pretty decent seal meaning that these won't gradually let air into them and ruin your film development chemicals! I really appreciate that these seals are replaceable as it ensures that I don't need to purchase all new bottles! The only thing that I think I could improve upon is if these has a small white portion near the base so I could easily sharpie the name of the chemical contained within each bottle.

Just right

I purchased these specially to store Kodak HC-110 and Rapid Fixer working solution for black and white film development. The accordion structure is a bit too resistant to push air out and at the same time to out back the cap; otherwise, these functions as they supposedly do.

Almost impossible to collapse properly. Absolutely impossible to seal properly.

Hard to use. Not as flexible as it should be.

One of the bottle has excess plastic from cheap mold near the bottle lip area, causing it to not seal properly using the provided rubber seal and bottle lids.
