A must for rural remote work
**Review of the Waveform 2x2 LTE Antenna** I recently installed the Waveform 2x2 LTE antenna in my camper, located in rural Minnesota, and I am thrilled with the results. Prior to this, my FirstNet internet speed averaged a frustratingly slow 2 Mbps. Now, with the antenna mounted on a 12-foot pole and positioned with a clear line of sight to a cell tower, my internet speed has surged to well above 30 Mbps. The improvement is nothing short of dramatic. Tasks that were once a struggle, such as streaming videos, joining virtual meetings, or even basic web browsing, are now smooth and hassle-free. The Waveform 2x2 LTE antenna has significantly boosted my signal strength and overall connectivity, transforming my internet experience. Installation was straightforward, and the antenna's robust build quality ensures it can withstand the elements in a rural setting. Though I don't live in my camper, I frequently use it for remote work, and this upgrade has been a game-changer. The reliable and fast internet connection it provides is essential for anyone needing to work remotely in a rural area. In conclusion, the Waveform 2x2 LTE antenna is a must-have for remote workers in rural locations. It has drastically enhanced my internet speed and reliability, making it a highly worthwhile investment.

USEFUL TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF INCOMING SIGNAL
We live in a fringe area and use Verizon 4G LTE for phone and internet. Verizon, when it's running right, is very good. Usually it is not, giving us "roaming" or one bar and uselessly slow, or just not there. This antenna system cleans up the signal-to-noise ratio which improves speed. It sometimes add a bar to strength but the company's c/s rep tells me that bar strength is not a reliable indicator, as it is not standardized across platforms. My results agree, counterintuitive as it seems. The system components appear to be good quality and the documentation is first rate. Do scan the QR code to "register" and let c/s know you are there. Now about the customer service...it's the absolute best I've experienced. You are talking/messaging with an actual tech person who speaks English, and has extensive product knowledge. And friendly. We use a Jetpack with Verizon. There are two small pop-out plugs in the lower edge of the device that can be pried out to reveal a pair of TS-9 plugs. The system provides a pair of pigtails that attach to adapters on the coax cable . The plugs are friction-fit, there is a note to that effect in the manual. It is important to relieve the strain on these in your final installation to avoid the coax cable putting pressure on them and pulling them out. I was able to put the adapters on the cables from the antenna and run the pigtails to the Jetpack to make a test rig to carry outside for readings. No need to carry the mount and cable with you...just watch the that the pigtails don't get pulled out in handling. I used the recommended speed test app by Ookla for monitoring. The tech even sent me a disturbingly recent sat view of my house with his recommended locations to test. The lightning protection kit (optional) is $99. I got two arrestors on Amazon for less than $40. One for each cable. All you'll need is some small wire to go from the fitting to the provided connector on the antenna mount, and some bare copper to go from the mount down to your ground rod. The mount is well painted so you will have to make some bare metal under a nut or bolt for good connection. Also, have a few inches of the bare wire extend up past the connection to the mount and file it to a point. The "lightning rod" is designed to bleed off charges that build up before they can attract the "Big One". If Mother Nature decides to send you a slap shot five-hole there is nothing you can do except not be nearby. This unit did not solve my primary problem, the lack of steady signal from Verizon, but it markedly improved what signal I get. My up/down numbers were great when we got signal and on balance we are better off for having this system. I recommend this system as a first step to get a better signal, as talking to Verizon doesn't seem to help much. As for Verizon, if you have tech problems, don't waste your time with their customer service...go right to Tech Services. Waveform's c/s are top notch, as previously stated. And read the manual FIRST, like they said.

Perfect for AT&T Netgear M6 Router
Where we are located, we currently do not have any high speed options available. It's one of those situations that we should, but we are still scratching our heads to why we don't. Anyhow, we are using AT&Ts hotspot router as that is the only option we have here. Looked into T-Mobile and Verizon for their high speed 5G setups, no luck. We are right on the end of a band that stretches out from the closest town so our phones is usually sitting at 1 bar of 5G service. Although, this router is capable of pulling in more signal due to the internal antenna design. Speeds were decent on the Down: 40-50mbps, upload: 2-5mbps. Fairly consistent ping under 90ms. Decided to buy the 2x2 MIMO antenna to see if we could get anymore gain from our current setup.. works wonderfully! While the download speed is capped at 50mbps for us, it reaches it with ease. Upload speed took the biggest jump to: 18-28mbps. Ping has been consistently under 70ms. Webpages would load before the antenna but the pictures would take awhile to load. That problem is gone. This antenna has actually made us feel like we have a solid internet. Streaming is crisp, and gaming is excellent! Biggest thing I can say for this product: your results may vary. Their instruction manual is detailed and on point. Positioning of the antenna is paramount. If you are chasing any kind of additional gain from a hotspot network, give this a try. While the price is steep for the kit that includes the low-loss cable, every part in the box felt like a quality product. Satisfied customer here! Thank you, waveform!

Worked great on my RV
I ordered this on a weekend. Then I called Waveform tech support on Monday. Tech Support was very helpful. I was told that this antenna mount was actually made for the eve of a home. But I elected to use it on my motorhome. I mounted the antenna right behind my AC unit so it was shielded from wind as I drive. I did use a bungee cord as a secondary hold down to measure for safety. Because of the panel design, the antenna will pick up a wide range of directionality yet because it’s not Omni directional it will increase signal to noise ratio by eliminating noise from the 180° direction behind the antenna. I told Tech Support that I had two primary goals. The first goal was to receive cell signals when camping rurally in my RV when cell signals were not very strong and bandwidth was poor. I was currently in Senator Wash Az, about 60 miles south of Quartzsite Az. My second goal was to be able to drive and utilize the antenna if needed. Tech Support said the driving factor would be best served by an Omni directional antenna, but the first goal would not be served well by the Omni directional antenna due to no gain factor. The flat panel antenna increases signal to noise ratio and this gives a gain which improves cell signal and bandwidth. So when I received the antenna, before actually mounting it to the roof I mocked up the installation temporarily and did some testing. The panel antenna did improve my signal and bandwidth. I used Speedtest by Ookla to make comparisons. My AT&T MR 1100 Netgear hotspot tested at about 25 Mb per second download speed with no antenna attached. With the Waveform panel antenna attached and pointed in the correct direction. My bandwidth went up to 49 Mb per second. Quite an improvement out in the boonies. As a second test, I wanted to see if I can drive with the antenna down and still receive a decent signal. So I lowered the antenna mast with the panel pointing straight upward from the roof. I thought this upward direction might receive a signal omni-directionally. I then used SpeedTest again and still had 25mbps. That’s doable for me. With 80 to 85% of my driving being on highways and in town, my bandwidth should be much greater most of the time. And when rural, I should still have an OK signal while driving most of the time. I highly recommend Waveform for their excellent products and Tech Support.

Great service and product--our wifi speeds are now consistent and much higher
Excellent service! We ended up placing this low on the side of the house (the roof appeared to interfere with the signal). By following the directions and checking for speeds, we increased them significantly (300-400 mbps downloads and 50-80 mbps uploads), which has helped tremendously in virtual meetings and in downloading and streaming content. The company's team send very clear instructions and also followed up to help as needed. It's amazing; placing the antenna just a few feet left or right and higher or lower can make a significant difference.

The only positive thing I can say about this product is it was nicely packaged.
This was a most disappointing purchase. Prior to ordering, I asked the vendor through the Amazon site if this product would work with an Orbi 752 and was assured by the vendor it did. I had a professional installer come out to assist me and the extensive installation directions and tips They supplied further supplemental instructions. All of the recommended procedures were followed to the letter, spending almost three hours checking the signal strength all the way around the perimeter of my house and on the roof. The Orbi unit was actually receiving a better signal without the antennae connected no matter where we placed it. All of the connections were checked multiple times. The router was speed checked 30+ times as well as numerous reboots to make sure we were not missing anything. The unit comes with insufficient cable to install almost anywhere (except perhaps a 350 SF tiny house). Hours of my time were wasted on this experience and you should note there only tech support is by text message from 9-5 PT. NOT RECOMMENED, buggy product and substandard support. Don't waste your time and money. I had to pay an installer and then deal with the hassle of a unsatisfactory result and the bother of returning it... disgusting.

Good for rural use
I bought this antenna for my son, who is using ATT with a MOFI4500-4GXeLTE V3 and lives in a rural area. The MOFI unit comes with a pair of paddle antennas for cellular connectivity but the signal strength was always "poor". This caused issues when trying to stream videos and for the kids when playing games on the internet. I purchased the full kit, which included the 30' cable and a few adapters. This allowed me to do testing with the MOFI directly connected to the two antenna ports and when using the 30' cable. I found that there was very little loss using the coax cable, which shows the quality of the build and proper materials. With the MIMO antenna, I was able to find a band on our nearby cellular tower that offered 20MHz bandwidth. The signal was low, but was still able to attain some connectivity in the 30 - 50Mbps range. For us -- that works! The antenna is certainly weatherproof, but we opted to keep ours in the attic for now. Also note that documentation for this unit mentions compatibility with all major carriers.
