Best "non" sprinkler
Great soaker hose. Don't have to worry about getting a sprinkler into the right position in the yard. Just throw this thing around and I can leave it for several hours. Go back out throw it around again and leave it.

The best soaker, just bought a third!
Surprised at the negative reviews, this is the best soaker we’ve ever had. I first purchased it years ago and it gave us plenty of seasons before the north Texas sun dried it up. I tried to go cheaper here on Amazon and ended up returning two, trashing one because it busted, and returning another because water barely came out of it. I decided to go ahead and just get this brand again. The quality is unmatched, compared to the cheaper ones I’ve tried on Amazon. Water flow is great. Again, I’m really surprised at the negative reviews because I’ve tried others on here and they don’t even come close to the material and performance of this brand. Just bought a third to go on the other side of my house

Could be a 5 star...too early to tell
So, I have a similar hose and am using it in its second season in the full Central California summer sun. So far, so good. This kind of soaker delivers a more even flow than the black "recycled rubber" kind, is more flexible and I believe will last longer. If I get three seasons out of it without issues I will be very happy and will change the rating to 5 star. Now-about the length: 75 feet is too long for maintaining even flow. What I do is cut the hose into the length that I need for my rows (25 foot rows and 35 foot rows) and then put new hose ends on. A set of green plastic hose repair ends (one male and one female) costs $5 or less. I use the size for 1/2" hose which is not always easy to find (get mine on Amazon and at Ace) and the technique which makes a tight seal is as follows: 1-slide the new hose end into the cut soaker hose end, 2- wrap a few wraps of electrician's tape or something like that around the part of the hose which has the new end inserted into it, 3-secure the clamp part of the new hose end 4-turn on the water and admire your work. If your garden hoe accidentally cuts the soaker hose, just use the same-sized hose repair thingie and fix the hose. The penny with a hole in it is a novel approach...much cheaper than those little plastic discs that you buy with drip supplies that do the same thing. Different diameter holes should result in different pressures, depending on the pressure coming in from your water supply.

Awesome soaker
I have tried every soaker available and finally gave up and put these giant sprinklers up. But that is a lot of water waste if all I needed was 200 feet in a straight line.... until I found these. After reading all the comments I figured that it was absolutely essential to unroll the hose gently and lay it as straight as possible. No kinks or twists. We'll it works perfectly, by now I have 400 feet and I can run them on the same timer faucet! Saves 3 hours of pump running and uses a whole less water!! Win win :)

Water only comes out 1/3 of the hose after 2 weeks
Horrible product. Worked alright for a couple weeks, now most of the water comes out near the top of the hose and hardly any, a few drops really, makes it to the bottom 2/3 of the hose.

Significantly Better Than Rubber Drip Hoses
These fabric mesh hoses are great!Last year I tried a couple of the standard (repurposed rubber tire) rubber drip lines (NOT these Gilmour Hoses) and the water pressure would eventually cause them to blow out, in a big way. The first time I wrapped tape around the hole that was designed for this purpose, and it did not last a week. Then I tried yards of Gorilla Tape, and that lasted about as long. I even put a pressure reducer on a replacement rubber hose, and it did not matter. Within a few weeks, I had a huge hole somewhere in the rubber line which destroyed the whole hose.So I started with one Gilmour Weeper, and now have four of these Gilmour Weeper/Soaker Hoses and they are working perfectly, several months now. They are made from a tight mesh fabric instead of rubber so they are much stronger than the rubber hoses. I have two connected to a line without a pressure reducer and they are having no problem at all. The drip is very fast at full pressure but obviously you can control that by adjusting the flow. All four are on timers that water my hedges and gardens at two different times in the morning, so far so good.I also wrapped one of the hoses loosely around one plant that I want to get extra water. The only thing to be careful of is to not kink the hose anywhere, make sure it lies out nice and flat, or loop it loosely so it does not kink when pressure is applied.

These things work great
Bought a couple of these (since they can connect together) to go around my house foundation and soften the soil. Love them. Quality, easy to open and get it up and running. No complaints at all.

75' is too long to work properly
I purchased this hose to attach to a current soaker hose. It's very light weight but when installed you must make sure it's flat and there it's not twisted or kinked. The water pressure at my house is very strong but it was not enough to make the hose un-kink at turns. I didn't make sure the hose wasn't twisted in areas when first used. Thinking it would become untwisted due to the water pressure. This did not happen and I had to go back and untwist the hose. It was more annoying than difficult. After untwisting the hose and trying to remove the kinks at turns there was still not enough pressure for water to flow throughout the entire length of the hose. The last 20' or so of hose had no water seeping out. If buying this product I recommend only buying the 50' length. If possible I will trim mine down to 50'.The issue seems to be that the hose is too porous for 75'. Too much water seeps out before getting to the last 20' of the hose. Also, the package didn't have any stakes included for securing the hose.My original soaker hose is the old rounded type. It actually works great but somewhat clumsy when installing. I would only recommend this product if you are using it to water one straight row in your garden. If you have mounds and need the hose to turn, you may not get maximum efficiency.
